Delayed judgment doesn't mean it's forgotten, or will not happen. This should be a stern warning for those who would continue in sin. This is also a warning for those that profess Christ, yet continue, or revert back to their old ways.
To live for Christ means obedience.
Abraham's obedience (faith) was accounted to him for righteousness. Cheap grace is what is mostly offered and taught today. There is little or no fear of God. Pastors must speak up!
A true servant of God will shun sin and the very appearance of it because it is what nailed Jesus to the cross! Out of love they forsake all to follow Christ. God has yet a remnant who will stay faithful and devoted to Him. Be in it. Count the cost of serving Christ. Sin cannot dwell in His presence. It is a dangerous game to play with cheap grace!
Psalm 62
Salvation is in Christ alone! He is our Rock and Defense and because of Him we won't be moved.
By their fruits you will be able to discern liars and hypocrites. This isn't the behaviour of a true child of God.
Wait patiently upon God . He is our hope. He is our glory. Boast not in yourself but in Him alone. He is our Refuge. Trust Him. Pray earnestly and often, then, submit to Him. Don't trust in men, don't trust in riches, for both will fail. Don't be greedy. All power belongs to Christ. He is merciful and the Righteous Judge.
Psalm 62:11-12
God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that power belongeth unto God. Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy: for thou renderest to every man according to his work.
1 Corinthians 15
Because Jesus died and rose again, we have hope of a resurrection, also. God's grace can welcome even the greatest sinner. Because He has redeemed us, all the more we should strive to please Him, to bring Him glory out of love and appreciation. No goodness can come due to us, but God working in and through us. Glory!
Christ crucified and risen is the basis of our faith. Because of Adam, we're all sinners, born into sin. Because of Jesus, those who accept Him are given new life! He is sovereign over all.
It's nothing new for Christians to be persecuted. Shun evil company before you follow their pattern and put your soul in jeopardy. Flee! Flee to Christ! Flee from His wrath to come! Awake to righteousness. Stop playing. Stop being sloppy. Stop sleeping. Keep from sin. Don't take salvation and grace in vain. What a shame for Christians to live no different then the world.
Whatever our resurrected bodies will be, it is God's choosing for His pleasure. The rapture is a fact. In a moment, the trump will sound, the dead will rise, then, those alive will join. Our victory over sin and death is due to Christ alone. While we wait for His return, be steadfast, firmly fixed, constant, unmovable, unwavering, unshakeable, always abounding in God's work. Whatever work we do now for Him is never in vain.
