If you see a fellow believer is dwindling, it's not for us to judge or gloat, but to pray. No "I thank Thee Lord I'm not as this one here...". Intercede, humbly, on their behalf, remembering let those who think they stand take heed lest they fall. Bear each other up in love.
Psalm 138
Let me never be sidetracked in my devotions. You can't serve two masters.
He is to be praised for His loving kindness and Truth. I cry, He answers. Like a Father, He pities us. He strengthens my faith and soul.
All will praise and bow before the Lord for He is great!
In the valley of the shadows I know that You'll resurrect me, I have hope that's sure. Praise Him for His mercies! Know for sure He will not forsake His own.
Genesis 35/36
The Lord demands holiness. Don't be sloppy. Put away all other gods and idols. Serve Jesus alone. Be pure and covered in the Blood of the Lamb. Recognize the Lord's providence and care and praise Him. Be wholly separated from sin. God appeared to Jacob when he obeyed. He is God Almighty! Supreme. Omnipotent. All powerful. There is none like Him. How low are we!
Jeremiah 15
Sin, judgment and destruction come to those who refuse to repent and receive mercy. It's a frightening thing to backslide- God would be just to give us up. Dread the sins that provoke the longsuffering God to "give up". The Lord knows us, plead with Him not to give up or pass you by. Lord! I don't want to perish in this generation.
Live off of God's Word. Let it be your delight. Feast upon it. Separate yourself from ungodliness and the workers of it. Lean wholly upon the Lord. He will save and deliver. He will redeem.
Mark 2
Be compassionate to all. Don't let anyone or anything hinder you from going to God. Only God can forgive sin. Jesus sees our thoughts as words. Nothing can be hid from Him. The Lord can make the vilest sinner clean. Don't keep company with the ungodly, but do love their souls. Jesus could "hang" with sinners and not be influenced because He is God. We are not. Be careful.
