Grace enables us to live righteously. Grace enables us to give grace. Grace + faith + new birth = good works.... a love offering to God.
Psalm 101
Walk in the fear of the Lord. True fear of the Lord will keep us from ungodly living. It takes our efforts, too, we can't just skirt by. Behave wisely. Walk uprightly. Don't open ear and eye gate to the enemy. (If you have not already, I encourage you to read John Bunyan's allegory "THE HOLY WAR". Bunyan also penned Pilgrim's Progress). Keep watch. Keep a guard.
Despise sin and evil. Don't be a partaker, lest it consume you! Keep from perversion. Don't seek out friendships with the ungodly. Don't partake in gossip and slander. Don't be proud. Don't hang around with sinners and sin, they will spread sin like an infection. Walk righteously! Don't make friends with a liar or the wicked. Seek godly influences.
Matthew 25
Seek the Lord. Turn to Him. Don't get sleepy. Don't get tired of living for God. Return to your first love! Live holy! There is no second chances. Repent and live right now. Watch for carelessness, apathy and spiritual decay. Watch for a waning of love and devotion for the things of God. O be careful! Stay alert. Be in the fear of the Lord always. Don't do what you'd be ashamed to be doing when the trumpet sounds!
Make use of your abilities and resources God has given you. Store up treasure in heaven. Live for God and seek to do His business. Don't be lazy. Take initiative and seek to be profitable. Bring God glory!
The Good Shepherd knows His own. Seek to be found in that number. Do good to all and please God. Don't be selfish and self centered. Do all the good you can. You will give account for words, actions and time.
