Willful sins of the flesh is crucified. Our "unique" selves live on but the lordship is changed. It's no longer I that rules myself but God who rules over me.
Psalm 126
It's hard to believe salvation is true and possible, but, don't doubt, only believe! We are in awe of You, O Lord! The Lord has done so much for us. We can't praise, thank or devote ourselves to Him enough. Godly sorrow worketh repentance. Godly sorrow will be recompensed by all-consuming joy when our life work is complete and we receive Jesus and life everlasting, our Prize. Sow gospel seeds with tears (stand in the gap). God won't cause His Word to return void. Trust in Him and work on.
Genesis 24
Those who walk with God are blessed by Him. That is not to say an easy life, but a life that is hid in Christ is truly blessed.
Be warned against intermarriage. It brings sorrow. Or worse. Find someone like minded in the things of God. Don't go back from where you came! Don't choose a partner from those dark days.
The Lord takes care of us as we labor for Him. Pray for God to bless others and yourself. Jabez did.
Don't go by signs alone, but it is not sin to ask for clear signs/answer/guidance. A spouse worth marrying (wife) is serving, strong, ambitious, generous, not lazy, humble, cheerful, hospitable...
Give God thanks first. Never be shy to demonstrate your faith. Be welcoming and hospitable. Don't be distracted/diverted from duty. Don't be proud, but rather, give all glory back to God. The Lord is always with those who walk with Him to guide, uphold and direct. God sees our thoughts as words. Let others praise you. Be full of integrity. Know the posture of worship.
Jeremiah 5
If the Lord had found just one that stood against sin, He would have pardoned. It just shows His heart, His eagerness to forgive regardless the sin, yet we remain obstinate and ignorant of the correction to prompt repentance. Judgment, however delayed it seems, is coming. Nothing can save but Christ alone. Yet people joke and scoff at Truth, they choose to rely on false security.
Warn people: Flee from the wrath to come! Now we are ambassadors for Christ, be ye reconciled to God. How mighty is He!
Call out sin and sinners. Shun. Avoid. Judgment is a scary certainty. Repent now.
Colossians 4
Be alert. Be constant in prayer for yourselves, the lost, and the pastors of God. Pray to proclaim all the more what I'm now suffering for. Don't let persecution stop you from planting seeds with tears. This is our duty. Be wise with your time, use it to reach the lost. Speak wisely and with much prayer. Let your speech contain nothing that will corrupt. Be trademark: much loved (amongst the saints), faithful, a servant of God.
Seek to be a comfort and a blessing. Be a prayer warrior. No excuses. What the Lord calls you to do, be faithful to do. First time obedience. Be sympathetic. Do all you can, even if just in prayer for those persecuted for the sake of the gospel. Give your life to serving God and others. "Verily, I say unto you, they have their reward..."
