It's important for us to spread the gospel far and wide, especially to those who have never heard. This was Jesus' business and it should be a priority for us too. Don't just go to the pretty people, the popular people, or the nice people. Go to the outcast and the outsider. Reach every corner with the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Psalm 88
Be constant in prayer! Pray day and night. Praise the Lord while you can. Live for Christ while you can.
O lord God of my salvation, I have cried day and night before thee: Let my prayer come before thee: incline thine ear unto my cry; (Psalm 88:1-2)
Matthew 12
It's permitted to do well on the Sabbath. A man is more important than a sheep. Visit the elderly and the sickly. Do good and perhaps it will open the door of opportunity to witness "with words".
The Lord is compassionate. He won't break and destroy a contrite spirit and won't snuff out even a faint ember lit for Him. He is our God too! Jesus knows our hearts. He knows us better than we know ourselves.
You're either a friend of the world or a friend of God.
Watch for blasphemy.
A man is known by his fruit, not just his character or deeds which should emanate the fruits of the Spirit, but in words, too. We shouldn't speak like the world (James 3). Keep watch over my lips, O Lord. We'll give account not just of deeds done, but words spoken too. Let your speech be seasoned with salt, for the use of edification and praising God alone. Let no corrupt words come out of your mouth! Speak wisdom and kindness. Out of the abundance of the heart a man speaks. By their fruit you'll know them. Not everyone who claims they are a Christian, are.
Be quick and sincere in repenting! Don't be hypocritical, else you be worse than before. Those closest to Jesus are those that DO the will of God.
