Praise and prayer go together. If you note a lack of praying people, be one yourself. Worship Him. Walk holy before Him.
Psalm 127
Expect scoffing and mocking. This is the lot of God's people while on earth.
Genesis 34
Fornication is forbidden. Perhaps the situation could have been avoided had Dinah not gone out to "see the daughters of the land" to learn their ways. Let the Lord, to Whom vengeance belongs, repay. Don't retaliate or return evil for evil.
Jeremiah 14
Know that all sin is against God.
Acknowledge in all circumstances, He is Israel's Hope, He is our Saviour in time of trouble: completely reliable and able.
Dread His departing more than any other thing. Without Him, we're undone. He is forever with us, His people called by His Name. Leave us never! Be near! Don't reject truth for men's lies. Know the Truth. Repent in humble confession. Plead not our merit and righteousness- we have none- but His mercy and attributes. For Your Names sakes... don't hate us. Remember Your promises.
You are forever faithful. You are God alone. We wait in expectant hope on you.
Pray earnestly for others to come to Christ.
Mark 1
The path of holiness is straight, not crooked. Prepare your hearts for Him with repentance. Confessing your sins, knowing #1. He alone can forgive sins #2 He will forgive the sincere repentant one.
Look out for ritzy preachers, the followers of Christ aren't usually well loved and rich. After repentance and baptism is the indwelling of the Holy Ghost. This is vital.
Trials and temptations are rarely delayed. You're a christian? You're a target.
Follow the example of Jesus. Preach repentance and faith.
When He calls, run! Leave all behind for Him. Live loosely to this world. Rid yourself permanently of anything that would steal your soul. Watch against idolatry.
Our example for our prayer life? First thing in the morning, before all else, be with God. No time? Rise earlier. Seek out a quiet spot. Commune with God. There's no case too hard for God. Come humbly and seek Him in full faith.
