"And th-this is you-your bed." Baekhyun beamed, gesturing to a cozy twin mattress.

Tae smiled subconsciously, reaching out to brush his fingers against the soft bedsheets. The blankets consisted of breathtaking shades of sunset, orange and pink merging together to form some beautiful combination.

Jimin gave him a small nudge, causing the younger to look up. There, the boy held his personal items and the 'surprises' from Jin.

Revealing the small gifts, Tae gasped as he realized it was a sketchbook and colouring pencils.

After he had woken up from his coma, the boy had been obsessed with the arts. It had become his new therapy and a big form of expression and adaptation to Tae's new life.

So, at the sight of a fresh sketchbook and pretty colouring pencils, he jumped with glee.

Baekhyun laughed, moving to sit on his own bed at the other side of their shared room.

Hugging the book close to his chest, Tae couldn't help but feel his smile grow wider and wider.

Glancing at Jimin, he was caught off guard by the sudden look of sadness in the shorter's gaze.

Jimin couldn't help but be taken aback at the younger's reaction. His excitement and raw enthusiasm made the latter shocked.

His shock was especially targeted towards the wide smile radiating off the boy.

Jimin couldn't help but feel a pang of sharp sadness in his chest at the sight of the famous box-smile.

It was something so familiar and similar with the Old Taehyung, that seeing it on this new boy made him feel a mix of emotions.

He missed his old best friend, he really did, but something of Tae nowadays made Jimin feel content.

As if he was assured Tae was safe.

For one of the first times in the his life, Jimin felt as if Tae was genuinely happy.

"I have to go." Jimin breathed sadly, checking the time on his phone. This made the other frown slightly.

"Why?" He asked, confused.

The shorter simply shook his head, claiming he had 'homework' that he needed to do. Which was fair, as the end of their senior year was approaching and colleges were beginning to accept and reject students.
