Once there was a woodcutter in a deep dark forest.
In the outskirts of forest he lived inside a tiny house.
He used the wood to make oil,
Which he then used to make fire.

There was a lantern he was told,
Never to be forgotten
To be lightened everyday.
Why to do it? He never asked because of the sight he would always see.

The flicker in the light showed the shadow of a small girl dancing during the night.
It was amusing to watch but also creepy to know.

For the woodcutter always thought it was a nice little show.
This continued every night as he always did what he always did.
One night he went out in search of oil trees but couldn't find any and was in misery.

He heard something soft as a blow,
Then it followed with a tiny glow.
The fire from the lantern started to lit and made a trail into forest so deep.
The woodcutter having the urge to follow,
Silently went in but to where no one knows.

To his surprise there were no trees
Not even a single life in sight.
He shook the lantern violently,
Feeling betrayed he said to thee;

"For all my life I had lighten you every night,
For once in my life I needed your light.
Now all you did was to let me go astray,
Now all you did was to fool me away"

The lantern upon shaken so vigorously,
Shattered into pieces and so did the glee.
The fire spread so angrily and covered everything that came in it's way.
The woodsman lost at words fell backwards and in dismay.

The sight changed so abruptly!
The flames almost covered him as he tried to move.
Run for his life...this is all he could do.
From a distance there came a small voice;

"I have watched you watching me every night,
How I danced in the flames while running in the fire.
For the one who told you to burn me everynight,
Was a wizard who cursed me day and night.
Now that I am free... I will have my revenge.
Wizard or not you did burned me to death.
Run run little man, show me how you dance!
While the flames turn your bones into dust and melt ur flesh away"

That night the forest witnessed a cruel fate

The revenge of the fallen

And a foolish man

A/N: Do give your thoughts about this one!

I was telling this story to my friend.. She asked me why I killed the poor man but I think he should have asked the wizard why he was doing it and not just simply watch someone dance inside the flames...

What do you guys think?
