(I thought that was a younger version of George but it's not. It's his son!)
John looked at Paul. "Challenge accepted." He said once again pulling out his knife and pointed it at him. "This is me threatening you."
"Again with the knife?"
"Yes." He said calmly. "Remember, yer living with me until you can go home."
"It wasn't my decision to live with ye. Remember, you cant go home either."
"I noticed."
John stood up and left the room. Paul went up to a play pin and took Julian from it, then went back to the couch.
Then, John came back in with a 1000 piece puzzle and moved the coffee table close to the couch. "Wanna 'elp me out?"
"Sure. Why not? It'll give me something to do."
Paul took the pieces out of the box a d separated it out, taking all the side pieces and began putting it together.
"What are you doing?"
"What?"
"Do you always put the sides up first?"
"Yes. You don't?"
"No! What crazy person does that?"
"It makes it easier John. You should try it.........wait, how do you put it together?"
"Uh, piece by piece."
Paul stared at him. "Really."
"Yeh. Ey, you asked for it."
"I guess I did but I didn't want that answer."
"Its the truth. Thays how I put it together. Piece by piece. How else would you be putting it together?"
"Ye know what, imma hurt you now."
"Okay fine. I put it together by sections. Whatever pieces I get me hands on."
"That's the wrong way! Try the way I do it. It's way easier."
"Fine. Teach me yer way."
"Its not 'my way'. Its everyone's way. Everyone does it. Not just me."
"Oh. So........."
"Yer the only one that does that."
"I am not. I've seen others do it."
"Oh really."
"Yes..........." John paused. Then, changed his answer. "No."
"That's what I thought. Now, I'll teach you the way everyone does it. Connect the side pieces first. Once the pieces are together, take a section you want to do and look for the pieces."
"Oh.........is that all?"
"Yes. That's it."
John nodded and helped Paul connect the side pieces. Then, Julian started to cry.
"Paul, yer not giving him attention."
"Hes yer son and probably needs his diaper changed. Ever think of that?"
"Uh, yer his uncle. He needs an uncle around."
"Yeh. He also needs his father when it comes to changing him. You should know how to do it by now."
"What if I said it made me sick."
"Then ye'd be lying. Go change him. I'll keep the puzzle safe."
"Bu--"
John got interrupted when Paul spoke. "Go. Ye'll be fine. Hes not going to bite."
John sighed. Then, he picked Julian up and left the room. Paul shook his head and shifted his attention back at the puzzle.
"Who puts a puzzle together the way that bloke does?"
