It was just getting to be around 2pm........the time they were supposed to leave. John and George got down to the studio and met the others including their managers.
"Everyone ready."
"Nope." George said.
"No one asked you. Everyone else ready?" John asked.
"I guess so."
Their manager Brian Epstein came in. "Okay boys. Lets not waste any more time. We have to be there early."
"We'll get there early enough Eppy. We're leaving in a few minutes and the show doesn't start 'til seven."
"Okay. Enough smart mouthing John. Wait until we actually get there. Then see how funny it is when those seats are filled with people."
"Are you trying to scare me?"
"Yes. Is it working?"
"Yep. Lets just go."
Paul nodded and followed the others outside and to the car that was to take them to London for their show. They all got in the back seat with Brian getting in after them.
Brian was the first to speak. "So, how nervous are you boys?"
"Very." George spoke quickly. His nervousness showed.
"How about you Ringo?"
"Uh........about the same as George. Very. Me hands are shaking."
"No reason why they should be. Ye'll be fine."
"I know but its the fact that I'll be in front of an audience."
"Ye've been in front of audiences before. Why should this time be different?"
"Every time is all the same. I hate being in front of an audience."
"That's understandable. How about you John? Paul?"
Paul looked up at him. "Oh. Uh..........uh............"
"Got nothing to say Paulie?" John asked.
"Uh................"
"You better not freeze up on stage Macca."
"Uh..............."
"Okay. Stop that. Yer driving me nuts."
Paul nodded and turned to look out the window.
"What about you John?"
"What about me?"
"I asked everyone else. Now, its yer turn to answer. How nervous are you?"
"Not as nervous as Paul over here. At least I can talk."
"So........you are nervous after all." Ringo mentioned.
"Yeh. I wouldn't be human if I wasn't nervous."
"Ye know, some people aren't scared when they're in front of an audience. Does that make them non-human?"
"Oh, no. I just don't know how they do that. How can they not be scared? I'm scared every show."
George took out a cigarette and offered everyone else one. They all decided to have a smoke to calm their nerves. About half way there, they were all doing their own thing. John and Ringo were both asleep while George was reading a book and Paul was just going over a song he and John were currently writing.
Paul broke the silence by a sneeze, waking John immediately.
"Paul, you better not be sick."
"Stop saying that. I'm not. Allergies."
"Allergies? What allergies? We've been in the car for who knows how long. Stop sneezing and coughing."
"No. I can't control my body does."
"Oh yes you can. You did sneeze into yer elbow didn't ye? Because I don't wanna catch what you got."
"I did John and I haven't caught anything."
"Are you sure about that?"
"Yes. I'm positive. Now, get back to sleep."
"How can I knowing you could be sick.............again?"
"I'm not sick. Stop saying that. Just go back to sleep."
"Roger that." John said closing his eyes. He leaned his head against the window and fell back asleep.
Paul shook his head. Then, he saw George looking at him. "What? I'm not sick. Stop staring at me."
George smiled and started reading his book again.

The car pulled in to the theatre they were to have their show at. Paul reached over and hit John in the head waking him immediately.
"What do you want Paul?"
"We're here."
"Oh."
John looked over at Ringo and shook him until he woke up.
"Come on Ringo."
They got out of the car and followed Brian inside. "Nice place." John said.
"Yeh. If you say so."
Then, they reached backstage and their instruments have already arrived and was waiting for them. Ringo was the first to actually walk up on stage, followed by the others.
"Just imagine.........in about 3 hours, those seats will be filled and we will be up here preforming." Ringo said.
"Please don't say anything about that just yet."
"So, when's the best time for me to do so Geo?"
"After the show. That's when I can calm down."
"Got it. So, does that mean you won't be making yer big appearance on stage?"
"That's right. I'll just stay backstage."
"Oh no you won't." John butted in. "I'll drag you up on stage if I have to. I'll handcuff you to Ringo's drums before the curtains go up. Got it?"
"No. I'll go willingly.........well.........not willingly. Reluctantly."
"That's better. Now, we have three hours to do sound check and play our instruments if we wanted, practice our songs and whatnot."
"Do you want to practice songs we play everyday?"
"No. But we want it perfect don't we?"
"Just because we play before the show doesn't mean it'll be perfect."
"I know but it will be a slim chance of messing up."
***********
It was now 5 minutes before they were to be up on stage. John was fiddling with the curtains just because he was nervous and had to do something, George was taking deep breaths as he looked over at the curtains, waiting for them to go up, Paul was standing quietly next to John and Ringo was sitting at his drums, his hands shaking. He had dropped his drum sticks several times because of it. Then, the curtains went up.
