John had went back to Paul's house with the right sheet music. Instead of knocking, he let himself in. "Paul! You here?"

"Yeh! You better have brought the right one." He said emerging from the kitchen with a cup of tea. I

"I did. Don't worry about it." He said handing the paper to Paul .

The very first thing Paul did was dead it to make sure it was the right one.

"What, you don't trust me?"

"Nope. Remember what happened just a little while ago. You brought the wrong sheet."

"Do you have to remember everything?"

"It happened two hours ago."

"So?"

"Are you going to leave or stay and work with me?"

"Leave. I'll come back later."

"Later as in when?"

"I don't know. Later."

"Okay. I'll be expecting you...........today. You better keep yer word."

"I always keep my word."

"Not always."

"Okay. I'll be back. Just..........later."

"You already said that."

"Okay. Bye." John said walking out the door. Paul shut the door and took another glance at the paper. The song was almost finished. He just needed to add the music to it, which, at this point was getting a little hard because as of this moment, he ran out of ideas.

He was tapping his pencil on the coffee table as he thought.

************

After their three day weekend, one by one, they arrived at the studio. Paul and John looked at each other and never spoke.

"What's up with you two?" Ringo asked.

"John brought me the wrong sheet music yesterday."

"And yer mad about that?"

"No. I'm mad because he said he was going to come by 'later' yesterday and he never did! What's up with that?!"

"I fell asleep Macca. Didn't wake up til about eight last night. By then, it was too late."

"You said you were going to keep yer word and drop by to help me with this so we didn't have to do it today!"

"Lower yer voice. I have a bloody 'eadache."

"You drank yesterday?!"

"No. I didn't."

"How do I know you didn't?"

"Did you smell alcohol on me at all?"

"No. But that doesn't mean anything. For all I know, you took a shower this morning."

"I didn't have time to take a shower. I just changed into some fresh clothes and made my way down here just so you could bite me head off."

"If you tell asleep yesterday, he by didn't you give me a call when you woke up?"

"Because I didn't think of it. Please don't start up. I was already too busy yesterday."

"How busy could you have been?!"

"Stop. Yelling. Yer making my headache worse."

Paul lowered his voice. "How busy could you have been?"

"More busy than you know. I don't need to go into detail. It's my life. Not yers."

"Okay. Fine. Whatever. But remember, don't make a promise you can't keep."

"I seriously meant to keep it. I didn't mean to leave ye hanging."

"But you did."

"Sorry Paul. I don't know what you want me to say. Look, we'll discuss this later."

"Don't say 'later'. That's what you said yesterday and you never showed up."

"Okay. During lunch, come to my house so we can talk privately. I'm sure Ringo or Geo doesn't want to hear any of this."

"Actually, it's been interesting." George said leaning back in his chair .

"We're going to talk in private. It's our problem. Not yers."

"Okay. Whatever you say."
