Paul and John were arguing most of the car ride home.

"So, why didn't you turn down the offer?"

"Because you wouldn't stop bugging me about it!"

"Boy, yer really a handful when yer sick."

"I'm not sick! Stop saying that!"

"Okay. Whatever you say. We'll see how you are tomorrow. "

"Stop treating me like I'm sick. I'm not. And if I was, which I'm not, I wouldn't want to be treated differently."

Paul smiled and he pulled the car into the drive at John's house. "Sure John. Whatever you say. Doors that mean ye'll still be coming in early?"

"Of course. I never miss a day of work. "

"Okay. Sure. I believe that."

"Shove off."

"Sometime, yer going to have to believe this yerself."

"Nope. If I don't believe it, it won't happen."

"That's not how it works."

"It is in my twisted head."

"Let's get inside before you catch something else."

"Do you want me to wear a mask 24/7?"

"If you don't mind."

"I do mind." John said opening up the car door. Paul did the same and they both made their way to the door. Before John had his key out, Paul had gotten one that has been attached to his own keys and let them both in.

John just stared at him.

"Where'd you get that?"

"What?"

"The key. Where'd ye get the key? Did you take my spare key?" John said searching for it. Then, he found it hidden. "Okay. What did you do?"

"I got it copied so I didn't have to look for it."

"You printed another key to my house without my permission?"

"Yeh."

"Okay. Just checking. Now, why? Why'd ye do it?"

"I already told you that. I got sick of looking for it."

"I would be mad at you but.............I just don't care right now. Might yell at ye later."

"The John I knew last week would have killed me."

"I'm not in the mood to deal with it."

"Sick much?"

"No. I'm not! Stop saying that!"

"Okay. Stay in denial."

"Shut up Paul. I don't need this. Ye know, the only reason why I got sick is because I spent too much time with you."

"Finally you admit it. Not to mention, I didn't get you sick."

"Yes you did. Yer face made me sick."

"Wow. That's insulting."

"I'm only joking. I know you didn't get me sick. Although, you were probably in on it. Probably gave me food poisoning right?"

"Wrong. I wasn't in on anything. Trust me."

"Okay whatever." John said walking over to his couch and sat down. "So, are you staying or going home?"

"It's still early in the day. I might just stay and watch you suffer."

"You haven't had enough of that yet?"

"I can't get enough."

"Figures. Just so you know, I'm not suffering."

"Not yet, yer not."

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"Nothing. Ye'll find out when you actually start feeling sick."

"No thank you. Is there a way I can stop it?"

"Afraid not. Remember what the doctor said. Let the illness run its course."

"I can't stop it?"

"Not that I know of."

"Great. Just what I need."

"Ye'll be fine. Now, two the next few days off. "

"Aww. Do I have to? I can work just fine."

"Just humor me will ye?"

"Look, if I'm feeling terrible when I wake up, I won't show. Deal?"

After a moment of silence, Paul rolled his eyes. "Fine. It's a deal."
