The curtains went up. Paul gave a nervous laugh and looked over at John, who looked back at him with the same nervous look.

"I hate this." John mumbled before stepping up to the mic. He cleared his throat and began speaking.

"Evening everyone. Good to see ye all here this evening. The first song we would like to sing is Twist and Shout."

Then, John stepped back from the mic and they began playing.

About half way through the show, they started having a little bit of fun only because their nervousness went away. They had finally reached their last song for the night: A Hard Day's Night. John started smiling and as he was singing, he looked over at Paul when it was his queue to sing.

Soon enough, the show ended. The four took their bows and the curtains went down. "Thank God." George said as he set his guitar down.

"Yer telling me." John said as he had also set his guitar down and started walking away.

"Where ye going?"

"Loo."

"Ah. Okay. Next time, get mad at me for asking instead of telling me."

"Will do." John said smiling and left their sight.

"We can't leave until he come's back. Right now, I really wanna go home and have a beer." Paul said as he sat down.

"Still scared Macca?" George asked.

"No. Why would I still be scared? The hardest part of the night is over with, thank God."

"True, that."

After a few minutes, John came back and joined the others on packing up their instruments.

"Feel better Lenny?"

"Yes. Much."

John yawned and stumbled as he did so.

"Take it easy John. Don't fall asleep right here."

"I'm tired."

"It shows. Come on."

"Okay boys. Tomorrow, a conference is scheduled." Brian said walking up to the four.

"What? What time?"

"5:30pm. Ye'll have plenty of time to get ready and sleep in and what not."

"But what if I wanna sleep until 5:30pm?"

"You can't."

John sighed and picked up his stuff, with one of his guitars in hands.

"Can we go before John falls asleep right here?"

"Yeh. Get yer stuff."

They were back in the car, on their way home. It was just reaching 8pm and they were about half way home. Once again, John and Ringo had fallen asleep. The sun was going down so Paul and George couldn't do what they were doing on their way to their show. They couldn't read. So, instead, they talked.......and talked........and talked some more.

It got a little boring for them and they both had decided to shut up. Paul was looking outside and sighed. "Are we there yet?"

"Paul, don't go there. We don't want to hear that question every few seconds. Got it?" George said, glancing at him before turning his attention out the window as well.

"Okay. Okay. Brian, in all seriousness, can you answer the question? How much longer?"

"About 45 minutes left before yer home."

"Thank God."

************

50 minutes later........................

The driver pulled in to the studio parking lot.

"Okay boys. Wake up." Brian said shaking both John and Ringo until they woke up.

"What?"

"We're here."

"Home?"

"No. At the studio so you can pick up yer cars."

"Oh. Rats. I have to drive home?" John asked.

"Yes. Unless you want George to drive."

John then threw the keys at George. "I'll let him drive."

"You are letting someone else drive yer car? Who are you and what have you done with Lennon? Lennon wouldn't do that."

"Shut up Macca. No one asked you."

John was the first one out of the car and started walking to his own with George following.

"Everyone have a good night!" John yelled as he got in the passenger's side of his own car.

"You too John. Don't sleep all day tomorrow."

"But what if I want to?"

"No. Geo will get you up. Right Hazza?"

"Right."

"Oh, alright. I won't sleep all day. I'll be ready for the conference tomorrow. Although, I really don't wanna go."

"We know John. Neither do we."

"Can't the conference be earlier?"

Paul approached him. "How early would you want it?"

"9am so we can have the rest of the day to rest and everything."

"No. That's too early. Its staying at 5:30."

"Fine. I'm going to be very reluctant to go. Know that right now."

"We already knew. Now, I'll see ye tomorrow for the conference."

George got in the driver's side of the car. "See ye tomorrow."

They parted ways and John turned to George. "I hate conferences."

"Who likes them? Getting pestered by reporters asking questions, wondering when our next album is coming out, asking personal questions."

"What fun."

"Look, tomorrow's going to be a good day. At least its not another show."

"Yeh. My nerves were racked today. I couldn't bring meself to calm down."

George laughed. "You and me both."

George pulled in to John's house and the two got out. "Welp, home sweet home."
