Paul got to John's and knocked on the door. John opened the door slightly. Once he was who it was, he walked out all the way and shut the door behind him. "What?"

"You were supposed to meet us down at the pool today. What happened?"

"Nothing."

Paul could tell he sounded a tad bit nervous.

"So, nothing happened. Is that what yer trying to tell me?"

"I'm not trying to tell you. I am telling you. Nothing happened."

"You stood us up today. That's not like you. What really happened?"

"Nothing! Please drop the subject. I don't want to discuss this with you."

"Yes. You do want to and you will. Now!"

"Not now. Later."

"Not later! If I have to, I'll get the other two from the car."

"No. Don't do that."

"Then tell me what's up."

"Last night I was sent on a wild goose chase thinking you were in trouble when yer clearly not."

"Huh?"

"Forget it."

"No. What did you just say?"

"You heard me. I was sent on a wild goose chase to make sure you were fine."

"It could've been a trap. You should've known better than to just go."

"I had my reasons why I went."

"So, that's what that has feeling was about. 3am right?"

"Yeh. So? Wait, how did you know?"

"As I said, I had a bad feeling at that time and I didn't know why. So, you were up at 3am. Why?"

"Because."

"That's not an answer. Come on. I'm yer mate. You should tell me."

"Okay fine. I just want you to stop bugging me. For the past several days, I've had Alfred bothering me. Yesterday, he called around the same time he did today. It's driving me crazy. I thought this was all over. I had forgotten about him. Or, I thought I did."

"There's something else. What else is there?"

"He's inside the house which is why I didn't let you in."

"What's he doing here?"

"He's trying to negotiate or something. He doesn't want anyone knowing he's here so don't mention any of this to the other two."

"He's speaking through you is he?"

"Look, this is actually the first time we've actually talked without getting into a very heated argument."

"Be careful John. I don't trust him. You shouldn't either."

"I never said I trusted him. I just said that we're talking."

"Okay. Just know, if he hurts you one more time, I'll hurt him. Don't trust him."

What will happen now? John's talking to his father now. Is Alfred using him to get to George? Stay tuned to find out.
