Thank U for Being on My Side | ATEEZ Yunho

Few weeks went by in a blink of an eye. You and Yunho got closer too as he occasionally walks you home. You also get to know some of his best buddies that went by to your restaurant. 

"So I guess see you tomorrow?" Yunho said as you reached your house.

"Yeah, see yo-" You flinched when suddenly you both heard a loud thud coming from your house.

"What sound is that?" Yunho asked with widening eyes.

You quickly open the gate and grab your keys unlocking the front door. You are greeted by your mother lying weakly on the floor. "Eomma!!" You run to her side and try to get her up. Yunho heard your scream and scurried into your house.

"I'll call the ambulance" Yunho said with panic in his face.

You call out to your mom and asked if she's alright. She looked really weak but still put on a small smile saying that she's fine. Your tears pooled your eyes hoping that your mom is not in any critical condition.

--at the hospital: 11.30 pm--

"I have taken care of the administration, are you staying here?" Yunho approached you.

"Yeah.. I need to stay for my mom" you replied weakly.

"How about work?"

"I can't miss that..."

"You should go home then, you need to rest" Yunho suggests out of concern.

 "It's okay Yunho-ya, I can sleep here, no need to worry" you said smiling half-heartedly at him.

You stand from your seat and push Yunho lightly at his back, "It's really late now, go home, shoo~ And thank you for your help, I will pay you back...as soon as possible."

You have pushed him towards the exit when he turn away and faces you. "You can take a day off tomorrow Y/n-ah, I.. I can tell  your manager about your situation."

You tilt your head "What do you mean? A worker, practically an intern will go after my manager asking to give one of her employee a day off?" can't believe how far he would help you although you know that it can't be helped. You find it cute but frustrating at the same time.

"It's okay Yunho.. I can manage, don't you trust your bestie here?" you said a bit frustrated. He has done a lot for you, you don't want to cause more trouble for him.

"Okay then, of course I trust my bestie, I'm just worried" he pouted.

"Go home safely okay" you wave him away and you went inside after you see Yunho disappeared in the distance.

"Your mother is under supervision and I think her arthritis has caused some other problem so it's best if she stay for several days until she got the full check-up result" the doctor told you. 

"How much days actually it took to get the result, doc? I'm her only guardian and I have works all day, who's gonna take care of her..." you said sadly.

"Usually it takes two days the fastest, and if there are complications on the case, it will longer the stay of a patient. Our hospital provides caretaker ms., you can hire one if you're too busy to take care of your mother" the doctor added.

You open the door of the ward and walk to your mom bed side. You take a chair and sit beside her, looking at her sleeping you put your head on the bed. "Eomma, please get better, it hurt so much seeing you here. Please be strong and stay by my side" you said before drifting off to sleep.

--next day: 3.30 pm--

"Y/n-ah, do you want me to check on your mother?" you're holding some dishes when you heard him.

You look up to him while proceeding to the kitchen, "Hmm.. are you leaving early today?" you asked after seeing him with his bag.

"I need to meet some creator that might take long so I was allowed to go home right after the meet up. I can go visit your mother while you do your work" he said keeping up with you.

You stop your track and face him, "That's so nice of you Yunho-ya but it's not needed, I have hired a caretaker for her."

Yunho looked a bit disappointed at your reply but keep it away before you can notice. "Ah really? Then, I'll see you later?" he said slowly.

You smiled at him as he walked away and you disappeared into the kitchen. Yunho would always visit the restaurant on Friday and walk you home as he doesn't need to wake up early the next day. He accompanied you yesterday after hanging out with some friends at a KTV near the restaurant, he sometimes do that and you're glad to have someone to talk with on your way back.

⭐ you and yunho are besties now, you clicked well with him, both of you enjoyed each other company. just a matter of time until the relationship between you escalate.

we need a yunho in life. that's all i'm gonna say. ⭐
