You walk slowly enjoying the quiet night heading your home. Yunho is two steps behind you but you didn't mind. You have spammed him a lot so it's just right if he starts the talk she has been eager to hear from himself.
"Y/n.. I'm sorry, sorry for ignoring you a whole day" he started slowly.
You stop yourself and open your mouth "Yunho-ya, if it's about you blaming yourself for what ever happened to me, you can stop that now. I don't even remember anything. What I know is that you're a good person, and I'm thankful to have meet you again." You turn to face him showing your sweet smile.
"Y/n-ah you.. you don't understand, what my parents have told me maybe was true all along. We can't keep on seeing each other, that's the best option for us"
"What do you mean Yunho? What did your parents even tell you?" you nearly shouted at him.
"I.. I must have bring you bad luck, you suffered a lot after knowing me. I should be ashamed of myself for making your life hard.. I don't-"
"Stop! Yunho you don't even know what you're talking about! Cut the non-sense okay? This has nothing to do with you or any bad luck shit" you said back furiously.
You heaved a heavy sigh and approach him. He try to step back but you got your hands on his elbow stopping him from backing away. "Hey.. look at me.. Yunho.." You saw a single tear roll down his right cheek.
You cupped his face with cautious before closing the gap in between. Your hands travel slowly to his back and you engulf him in your embrace. You rub his back saying "it's okay Yunho-ya, we're friends and i want us to stay as that, I really need you to support me now. I don't even want to imagine you leaving me again after so many years." you said in between sobs, you close your eyes and rest your head on his chest listening to his heartbeat calmly.
Both of you stay there for a few minutes until Yunho decided to bring you home. "We should get going.." Hearing that you immediately release your hand bringing them back to your side.
He started walking ahead of you, you just dragged your feet following him quietly. When you reached your house, you tug his sleeve "Please, don't leave me.. I need you, I know that I literally didn't have any memories I can remember spending with you before, but the attachment I feel towards you now-"
You feel your face hitting his chest lightly, his warmth engulfing you now that make you feel so at ease, feels like home. He rest his chin on top of your head pulling you tighter into the strong hug. "Fine.. I won't leave you okay, stop the plea already; it's annoying"
He can't think of any good comeback so he just blurt that out hoping you to stop making him feel funny. He really like the fact that you seems to fight for him, urge him to stay by your side, promise that these all will be alright. Deep down, he felt euphoric that his crush noticed him now, he hopes to be more than friends but he knows that time should lead the way.
"urgh.. Yunho-ya you're crushing my bones!"
"oops, sorry I didn't notice.." he released you from the hug then scratching his not itchy hair.
Both of you smiled sheepishly finally convincing each other true feelings. You smiled that night before drifting off to dreamland.
--at the canteen: 9 am--
"You looked happier than ever dear, not gonna share some good news to me?"
"It's nothing much mrs. Lee, I just cleared up some misunderstanding and everything went well now."
"Really? Good to hear then, how about that tall handsome man, any progress?"
"Yeah we are best of friends now, don't worry mrs. Lee~"
"That's not what I mean dear-"
"One kimchi fried rice coming up" you avoid her at the right time.
--at the restaurant: 6 pm--
"Boss, I have something to ask if you don't mind" you said lowly at Seonghwa's father.
"What's the matter Y/n-ah?"
"I.. Can I have my paycheck early boss? I need them for my mother's medication."
"Ah right.. Your mother is still at the hospital huh?"
"Yeah she is still there and I'm not sure until when"
"But here's the thing Y/n-ah, not that I don't want to give them early to you, but business is running slow lately and I'm sorry but I don't think I can comply to your request.." he said out of pity.
"Is that so.. Okay then thank you boss, sorry for the bother" you walk away to greet the incoming customers.
You are wiping the last table when Seonghwa's voice calling for you. "Yes hwa?" You usually called him that when there's only the both of you in the shop.
"I heard that you're asking for an early paycheck from dad, I think I have them in my account. I can send it to you now."
"Oh.. Are you sure it's okay? You might have save it for something"
"Nah it's okay, I'm just lending them anyway, you still have to pay me back when you received your salary"
"Well you're not wrong.. Thanks a lot hwa! You are the best!" You yelled the last part at him.
You smiled wide not noticing the genuine smile Seonghwa has displayed for a split second before you look at him "Do you have my account number already?!" you asked suddenly.
