The head chef has just tasted your dish, your dish is quite simple compared to the other cooks. But you're confident about it. You looked for his expression which you can't decipher. Then mr. Baek took his bite while eying you. You started to get nervous, you looked at him intently trying to read his expression. You also didn't know what he would say and he continue to taste the other cook's dishes. 

Once they're done trying the dishes, the head chef and mr. Baek started to give out their evaluation. Their evaluations seemed a bit harsh for the first cook, but they didn't really point out their dissatisfaction frankly. It's now your turn, you're being hopeful but it doesn't meet your expectation. Unlike the first one, they point out their dissatisfaction straightforwardly which hurt you but you didn't show it through your face. You keep your smile on thanking them for their inputs, at least you got to know how to make your dish better.

You're losing hope, you're sure that you won't get the position. The cooks might have know already who will be picked among them based on the evaluation. You keep your eyes on your lap until the head chef and mr. Baek come out from the staff room. The four of you stand up straight waiting for the announcement. One of you is smiling proudly like he knew he will be called for the position. 

"So after a lot of consideration, we have come to conclusion of welcoming Ms. Kim Y/n to join us." said the head chef.

You feel like struck by lightning, you can't believe what you hear. You cover your mouth out of shock.

"To the other cooks, you have shown us your effort that we appreciate so much, you're all skillful and you're all good, it's really a hard decision to make but yeah.."

The other cooks could only smile bitterly including the one who was smiling proudly before. They respect the decision and start to pat your back congratulating you. The head chef and mr. Baek come to the other cooks personally, thank them, and give them words of encouragement.

--at Seonghwa's resaturant: 1.30 pm--

You arrived early as usual, you greet your boss; Seonghwa's father. You searched for Seonghwa but he's not in the restaurant, you see his big brother though. You took this as your chance, you told your boss that you have something to say.

You told him you're gonna stop working here, he can't believe it at first but respect your decision still. You're given three days to sort things out before you start your work at mr. Baek's. You feel sorry as it's really sudden because you actually didn't know you would come up this far. Luckily mr. Baek said that you have the potential, you're not the best yet but you can be, someday. You're so glad to know that you're gonna take a step a closer towards your dream.

You're required to work for 12 hours every single day as you're still new. You need to learn their recipes and take control in the kitchen. You will work in shift once the head chef is assured by your capability to handle kitchen works. You know it's going to be tough but you're ready to take on that challenge. You really want to prove yourself, it's now or never. You're still young so you have no way but going forward.

It's about closing time soon, you finished wiping the clean dishes. You took off your apron when someone enter the kitchen calling out to you. "Oh hwa! It's closing soon why are you here?"

"I was just around the area so I'm here to check up if you slacked off while I'm away~"

"Hahah of course not Park Seonghwa-ssi"

"Oh and what's with the notice outside? I don't know if we need another employee?"

"Ah that.. Actually, I will not work here anymore hwa.."

"Suddenly?! Why?"

"I got to work at mr. Baek's!!" you cheered excitedly.

"Wah really?! Ya congrats Y/n-ah" he shook your shoulder as excited as you are.

"Yeah thanks hwa, sorry I didn't tell you beforehand about this.."

"Nah it's okay, as long as you're happy now then me too~" 

"Okay enough about me, where were you though?"

--at home--

Well today must be the luckiest day ever in your life, you got accepted working under the no.1 chef in South Korea, people at the restaurant support you, and finding out that Seonghwa has gone to a date today. Everything happening today is a good news, you hope your luck for this year won't ran out yet because of today. Although your mom is worried for you but you convinced her that it's your own choice that you won't regret doing. You haven't told Yunho though because you got nervous in the morning and busy throughout the day. You open your phone to no notification from him, you start to think if he's too busy with works, it's late but you need to check on him so you put your phone near your ear waiting for him to pick up.
