"Do you got it?" 

"Yes Y/n!"

It's been two days of work and Jooyeon has been doing good. Yeah she's the girl from the other day. She needed the job to fill in her gap year, she took a leave because she got stuck up, she's still wondering if the course she took was really meant for her or not. She was a medical student, this year should have been her graduation but she felt lost since last semester. You were doubting a girl like her would really apply for a job especially in this restaurant, but she was assuring you and the boss that she was a regular here but she always used the delivery service. She seemed really eager to work here so the boss immediately hire her. She also didn't ask for a high pay so it's a win-win situation for both of part.

She's indeed a quick learner so you didn't really have to watch her out. The boss and the other workers have liked her already making you even happier because you can leave them without guilt. Tomorrow is gonna be the day, you sure are nervous but you know you'll mess up if you keep on feeling this way so you try to calm your nerves. Jooyeon is a cheerful girl, she always has her smile on, when there's no order she went to you to talk about everything on her mind including a handsome customer at the corner. She didn't know that her cute antics is comforting you, and you're so glad to have met her the other day.

You're on your way home when someone shouted for your name. You stop and turn your side to see Yunho jogs towards you. Once seeing him, you can't help but curve your lips upward. 

"Phew I made it!" he said once he's beside you.

"Why are you here? You didn't even tell me?" you asked still keeping your smile.

"Why? You don't want to see me?"

"Nooo, not that Yunho-ya.. Are your works done already mister?" you asked sarcastically.

"Ya can we not talk about that, I'm here to walk you home so you will have some strength for tomorrow!" he said crossing his arms over his chest.

"Well thanks for your concern, I really need that" both of you smiled and walk in silence, a comfortable one.

You are in front of your house, you bid him goodbye and thank him for walking you home. You're about to open the gate when you heard him "Good luck for tomorrow!" and feel a peck on your left cheek. You turn your back just to see him sprint off the sidewalk. Wide smile crept up your face and you can't stop thinking of how sheepish his face would look. You sleep well that night and wake up even earlier than usual, you feel the giddy inside you.

"Eomma I'm going now~"

"Take care sweetie! Don't push yourself too hard okay?"

You said yes but maybe you don't really listen to her, you need to show your best on the first day even if it will be too much for you, you thought. You arrived there at a quarter before 9, not even the head chef or mr. Baek is there already, just some of waiters and other chefs. You greet them then went to the changing room to put on your chef uniform. 

You start by preparing the base ingredients for the dishes, you do it all with so much focus so you finished it fast. You didn't know that mr. Baek has been watching over you from the side, he smirked before getting your attention. "Wow that's fast, I see you started to get the hang of it now"

"Oh mr. Baek, yeah I've been doing it all according to your guide so yeah.." you flash him a shy smile. He told you to continue your work and you did. You've been walking back and forth as you watch the clock that nearly hit 10 am, the restaurant is gonna be open soon. You can't wait to play with fire, no, to prepare your first dish for the customer. 

The day has gone unexpectedly well. The customers were satisfied with your foods. The head chef has been asking the customers mostly regulars there about the food and they gave positive response. Although keeping yourself on your feet all day was really tiring, you're doing fine thanks to your passionate self. As you're a chef now, you can leave immediately after the shift ended, however you can't help yourself but to stay behind helping the other workers. It's just that you're so used to that after doing your previous jobs.

You got home later than usual as there were a lot more dishes and cleaning in the kitchen to be done. You didn't realize of your fatigue until you reached home, your hands are trembling a bit as you unlock the gate with your keys. You feel your sore limbs but brush it off and enter your house. You're shocked to see your mother laying on the couch, she must have been waiting for you. You then come to her and taps her shoulder while lightly calling her out of her slumber.

"Sweetie you're back.."

"Eomma let's go to your room"

"Huh what time is it now? Why are you so late?"

"Ah I just help some colleague, it doesn't matter" you answered while assisting her to the bedroom"

⭐ so you're making another friend. yunho will always have the time to look out for you unexpectedly. your new colleague seems fine, well that's for the first day.
