There he stood tall. "Y/n?"

"Oh hey, I was about to leave.." you said drifting your eyes away quickly and continue on.

"Can we talk?" he asked stopping your step

"Uh.. My mom must have been waiting for me, I need to get going" you said peeking at his eyes with your apologetic expression.

"Then I'll walk you home!"

You finally give up on pushing him away. You just walk pass him and he follow suit. 

"Have you eaten?" he asked breaking the silence

"Not yet, I will when I got home"

"Ah thanks to you I'm feeling so much better now, and I do owe you a lot of explanation.."

"It's fine.. Tell me whenever you feel like it"

You both continue walking in silence, you haven't made up your choice. On the other hand, he's being cautious around you to avoid further misunderstanding. 

"I-" you started as him also.

"You first" he said.

"I.. Should we keep this? This friendship, if it will burden you in any way in the near future.."

"Why are you thinking like that?"

"I mean, you're gonna take over the company soon, what will people think about you having a low-class friend. It will be bad for your reputation and-"

"And I thought I've made my point clear this afternoon Y/n.."

"You might think it's fine now but you don't really know how others will react later on Yunho!" you bursted there garnering some passerby attention to you. As you got embarrassed, you walk away leaving him behind. Yunho froze on his spot, he just observing how your figure vanished in the distance. It's not the right time now, you need time for yourself, he convinced himself.

"I'm home~"

"Sweetie where were you? I've prepared your dinner long ago, I thought you're just gonna visit the cafe for a while"

"Oh sorry I forgot to tell that I was helping San and Jongho, they're on a roll today."

"Have you had dinner yet?" You shook your head.

"Aigoo hurry and eat up now!" 

"Yes eomma~"

You're watching a cooking video on your phone when a message popped up the notification bar. It's from him.

You continue your video after he tell you the time and place for tomorrow. You lock your phone placing it on the night stand. You sighed out loud. "Should I follow my heart? or better the common sense? Should I really not care about anything else but myself?" You keep on thinking about it until you drifted to sleep.

"Y/n-ya wake up, how long are you gonna sleep huh?" you heard your mom nag.

"5 more minutes~" you said through the pillow

"Ya wake up, Yunho's here!" you feel your mom shaking your body.

"What?!" you sit up immediately

"Hurry and come out, he's waiting at the table" she leaves you there.

You got up and check the time. 9.15? You don't believe the time as you usually get up at 7 out of habit even on your day off. You must be really tired yesterday that you slept in. You then head for the door and go to the dining table lazily.

"Why are you here Yunho?"

"Ya Y/n don't be so rude to my guest, sit and eat first okay?" your mom come at you.

You just do what she said. "You invite him here? Why?" you said after gulping down the first spoon.

"I just wanna thank him for visiting me last time at the hospital. As you know I don't have the strong joint anymore so I invite him for a meal."

"You are a great cook mrs. Kim, all the foods are so delicious!" he said showing his thumb up.

"Thank you Yunho-ya, I see that you still like my cooking" he just smiled and stuff his mouth with the food your mom made.

"Anyway he said that he's going to meet you later, so he agreed right away" your mom add.

After finishing the meal, you went to wash them but your mom told you to just get ready. You went back to your room taking your clothes to the bathroom.

"I'll be quick!" you said to Yunho who's sitting on the couch watching the tv.

"Just take your time"

Your mom has done with the dishes and went to sit next to Yunho. There's more reason to just inviting him for a meal. Your mom wanted to talk with him regarding you.

"Yunho-ya.. Thank you for taking care of my daughter, I'm sure you both care for each other dearly. I just.. I have a favor to ask for you"

"No mrs. Kim, Y/n has helped me a lot back then, she even still take care of me now, I'm so thankful to her. If there's anything I can do for her, I'll definitely try my best"

"Thankyou Yunho-ya, I leave Y/n to your care. I really want to give her the happiness she deserved. She's been living her life hardly after her father passing. I want to see her cheerful self more like in her younger days. I haven't been the best mother for her the past years" she said as calm as she could. 

Just then the both of them heard you coming out of the bathroom. "I'm ready! I'm just gonna put this away quick" you said to him taking your clothes to the laundry basket.

⭐ you start to have misunderstanding but you haven't heard the story from him. you've been feeling inferior since you can remember. your mom hope that yunho can bring the real you before all the incident happened back.
