I shook my head at what I read. Maybe. Maybe I should forget about what I feel for her, since ang tagal ko na namang dinadala ito.
A lot has changed, but here I am still waiting for a miracle to happen.
"Daddy, I'll play outside." paalam ni Maryse.
I smiled and nodded, may sasabihin pa dapat ako nang mauna siya, "Yes I know what, po. When I say outside and you allowed me to, po. You mean outside as garden not outside the house. Just the garden, po." she recited.
Napangiti ako. Yes. She's really a bright kid.
"Okay, baby, and..."
"...And you don't talk to strangers po, and please don't let them get inside, po." natawa ako sa sinabi niya kaya napailing na lang ako.
"Good. You should do that Maryse." natatawang sambit ko bago siya nanakbo palabas.
I sighed and went upstairs.
Pumunta ako sa kwarto ko at tinignan ang portrait ni Gabe sa pader sa itaas ng kama ko. Ngumiti ako ng tipid. Yung image na ginamit ko ay yung tanging memorya ko sa kaniya na lagi kong naaalala.
Ang ngiti niya habang umiiyak noong Highschool Graduation bago kami magkahiwa-hiwalay.
