Both of my parents watched me as I packed. Blindfolds removed and everything. I slowly folded my clothes and stuck each shoe into a plastic bag. Who care if the end game was still the same. At least their feet would hurt eventually.

"Don't pack anything sharp." Mom instructed. "You'll just have to give it up when You get there."

"You might of not wanted to tell her that." Dad said.

"Why?" She asked. "It's the truth isn't it?"

"Are you going to watch me pack the whole time?"

"Yes." They both said.

"Why? I can't bring anything sharp, and your just sending me away anyways. I should be able to be along for five seconds."

"Fine." Dad said.

"What?" Mom looked at him.

"We'll put your bags in the car. You have two minutes."

"Thank you." I sighed walking to my bathroom.

I locked the door and took off my shoe. I grabbed the blade from under one of the sink drawers and stuck it under the padding in my shoe. I slipped on my shoe and walked around just to make sure I wasn't walking strange. Nope, I was in the clear. So with the comfort of the blade in my shoe I headed down stairs.

Both of my parents were at the curb stuffing my bags into their trunks. They looked like a pair of idiots that had forgotten to take their meds this morning. But what ever reason, probably because I didn't have a choice, I walked over the grass towards them.

They finally got my bags in and then shut the trunk. They smiled and gave each other a high five. Uh hello? Daughter about to be placed in a mental ward. There will be no high fiving of any source until they realized I was fine. finally Dad noticed me and the smile fell from his face.

"Ready?" Dad opened my door.

I narrowed my eyes at him and then got into the car, without say anything at al.

"Okay, now when you get on your plane-"

I grabbed my bags and hurried to gate 18. No point in goodbyes for now. I hope they didn't expect a long drawn out goodbye.

"Well okay then!" Mom called. "Have a nice trip. Don't forget to call me when you get there!"

After two hours we had to switch planes. I was going to just run away then, but the school had a guard waiting for me. Apparently other kids had the same idea, when the planes switched, so I was now waiting for my next plane sitting next to a big dude with cuffs and a gun.

I wonder what he would do if I got up to get a coffee or tea. I was dying of thirst.  But I didn't have too much time to dwell on it as my flight number was called for boarding.

"See you!" I jumped up, grabbing my carry on suit case.

But he FOLLOWED me! All the way to the terminal. He probably waited there too until the plane had taken off and the terminal had been cleared out. Once the plane was flying at a steady pace I put in my ear phones.

Finally the food cart rolled by and I crabbed a sub, soda, and a water bottle before thanking the woman pushing the car. Then after awhile I decided to play a game. Which passengers were going to the mental ward, who was on business and who was just there for plain old vacation.

Or maybe there was people on her to visit someone in the mental ward. Can we be visited? Would I go stir crazy and have to be under sedation all the time? What was I even supposed to expect in the place? Doctors and handlers with tasers?

Was my roommate going to try and bite me in the middle of the night? Why would they place people in a mental ward with a roommate? That doesn't matter now. What matters is me convincing those Doctors that I was fine and happy. Ready to live my life to the fullest potential that is.

If I could fake the Doctors then I'd be smart enough to fool the world.  This could be used as a learning lesson. On how to keep your parents blinded just a little bit longer. And I promise you, I will succeed.

And then for just a split second I wondered if my parents would miss me. Were they sad to even see me go? Eighteen couldn't come fast enough.

The plane ride wasn't too long and since I slept it went by fast. There was someone waiting for me at the end of the terminal, and together we headed to get my other bags. I checked my surroundings to see if there was anything that I could no such luck. there was security everywhere you looked. It was almost as if they knew that I was coming.

And maybe they did. with bags found we headed out though the front of the airport. The car with the words First Hope Academy on the side was already waiting. After being deposited into the back seat, the man went about putting my bags in the trunk. Well, I guess this makes it official. I'm going to a mental ward.
