Market (side story)

A/N: this is the in between side story from the last chapter. it's a short one, i know :v

Mina's POV

i hurried myself to the living room and found Ren with plain white crew neck shirt paired with cream chino and his usual vigilante coat. "i'm ready, Ren." i told him as i'm arriving to his side and he looked over to my side and, "didn't change?" he asked. i waved to his question and "alright, then. let's get going before the others woke up." he said as he pulled my hand inside his pocket and we walked to the usual lift.

Outside the streets were empty. at this time around only a few people have come out and do their business but good thing is that usually the market opened early. "Ren, i don't think going to the mall at this hour is possible. i suggest we go to the market, instead." he looked over to me putting my mask on and he nodded to the suggestion i just told him. "good idea, besides the mall haven't really opened yet do they?" he asked sarcastically yet it sounds funny to me.

"then the market it is. let's go then." he said as he pulled out his phone out of his right pocket and tapped it triggering something. we walked to the main street exiting the alley as i heard a car approaching us. i looked to where the sound coming from and found the sport car he used when we first met. i once rode in this with him. i still remembered it clearly. i thought as the memory relived inside my mind and remembered how awkward it was when we first meet each other.

i believe he named it agera-chan. stupid. i thought as his agera RS stopped on our side of the road and Ren opened the door for me to hopped in. "ladies first." i smiled to his actions and hopped inside the passenger seat as he closed the door after i'm inside. he got on the driving seat and we drove off to find the closest market that has opened. Ren asked lilly about it and lilly pointed out a lot of market. i listened to it carefully and noted which were closest.

we arrived at the market with the looks from the locals because of Ren's exotic ride. "Ren, aren't we drawing to much attention?" i asked from the passenger seat. "ah ye, i think we do." he answered as he reached out to his phone and tapped his phone screen. "alright, problem solved." he said and invited me to hopped off the car. i accepted his offer and went outside the car. i closed the door and looked to the car. the appearance have completely changed.

okay, i never thought a car could do that, but okay. i thought as i got myself neared by Ren and i can feel his presence beside me. "come one, let's go. before the others noticed us. here, you forgot your mask." he handed my black mask and a hat. "what's with that hat?" i asked and he explained that if i only use the mask someone might still notice and will bring a lot of attention in public. "arraseo, let's go." i replied and we walked alongside each other inside the market.

we've got what we came for and now it is time to go back. as i was walking alongside him, i noticed that he's been looking at his phone for quite a while. i dragged my mask down from my face and pulled his coat to get his attention. "honey, whachu looking at?" i attempted an aegyo as he looked at me. "ah... what do you think about this?" as he handed me his phone.

i looked at the phone screen showing list of things which i'm guessing he's going to buy.  when i looked into it carefully, i noticed that the lists were filled with bunch car models. "are you thinking of buying a new car?" as i looked at him and back to the phone's screen. "well, if you're not allowing it then, i'm okay with it." he said as he put back my mask on and fixes my hat.

i giggled to his reply and "dame, Ren. save your money." as i nudge him playfully and he offered a hand to bring the rest of the groceries that we bought. i pocketed his phone back with my hand. "feeling cold?" i nodded. he passed all the groceries into one hand and quickly took off his coat and wear it on my shoulders. "how about your phone?" i asked as i grabbed it from its pocket in case it fell down the ground.

"gwaenchan-a, just hold onto it, or maybe you can put inside my pants pocket here." he replied while pointing to his left pocket. "then, how about you aren't you cold?" i looked at him and he smiled. "i'm okay, Japan is usually colder at this hour. i'm used to it." he replied while embracing my shoulders.

we have arrived at the the parking spot and i went inside the passanger seat while Ren put the groceries inside the baggage. inside the car looking at his phone displaying a picture of his sister reminds me of my brother. how has he been doing lately?  i thought as Ren went inside and started the car engine. we drive off to the main road and seems like Ren had deactivated the cloaking system since a lot of people have put their eyes towards Ren's car. 

i turned my head to his side and saw him having fun with the public eyes looking to his car. i let out a small smile. thank you god for introducing me to this wonderful man that i fell in love with.
