Recollection

Mina's POV

A full year have finally passed after 4 months. After that night, Ren has been busy. Interviews, more shooting and more drama projects. In his spare time, he also has been visiting me, accompanying me attending an award show even though we really didn't get to sit with each other but somehow the camera man always seemed to caught his face on frame. While that happens, he usually threw his finger hearts towards the camera and mouthed 'Mina-yah Saranghae' like a shouting fan from the crowd. He's so adorable and supportive.

Right now, I'm attending the MAMA award of 2023 and I am waiting for our performance queue. With the girls backstage while missing Ren's usual presence here at the backstage is somewhat weird feeling because right now i'm seeing his face on the led screen as the emcee talked about Ren holding a fan banner with a saying 'Mina will always be my number one' and there's also a picture of me beside the sayings.

"awe... it seems like Ren-ssi is very supportive towards the girl group that he formerly served as a bodyguard." The emcee said which led me to flustering so much that i can feel my face is redder the Heinz Ketchup itself. The emcee called out for all the nominators of all the awards available, and eventually our performance queue was called, like usual, Jihyo put out her hand for a hand toss and we toss in unison. "Twice!! Twice!!! Hwaiting!!"

We finished our performance, went back to our seats on the artist panel. I set myself, seating beside Sana and to her right, there's Dahyun. I watched through the whole event, enjoying every single performance that were delivered and also went on stage with all the members, yeay~ this time we are finally receiving awards as an OT9, receiving four awards this time. After the whole event ended, I can see Ren is looking for me as his face try to travel his gaze around the backstage. Knowing this i walked, approaching him but I was left behind with the girls rushing, tacklinghim into a group hug.

"wah... these girls never change." He tried to maintain his stand as he was pushed back by the force of the pouncing girls, lunging him to a hug. "Hi, Ren. I see that you always came." I smirked and he pulled me to his hug after the girls let him away. "You did really well today." He said rubbing my back as his other was holding my nape. His voice sounded very soft, feeling like he's trying to calm me or something, "you tired?" I asked which then he pulled and look at me in the eye. He didn't answer but i can definitely see his tired eyes showing as he pulled back in. "You didn't bring Manager Lee?" He hummed, "she can't come, her son needed to be looked after so i went here alone."

"Let's go back home." I invited, "girls, i'll be joining Ren's ride from now. You girls can go ahead and can always visit us to other side of the street." They nodded and were giving winks, "yeah, will do. You two deserve it, have fun going back." Jihyo added as we walked together but, "Chughahae... Jihyo-yah, I heard that Daniel oppa proposed to you. See you later." I shouted a little, waving goodbye.

Arriving on his car which his preference never really changed, his vehicle taste never change.. cute. Upon seeing his new super car, "so did you buy this off of your acting money or??" i teased getting inside as the door automatically opens, "Iie... i bought this with my hacking money." He answered easily as if this car ain't expensive. Upon sitting inside the passenger's seat, i noticed something that has always been the same. From the logo on the steering wheel, i think it is the same brand as the cars that mostly filled his garage somewhere in Korea.

"Another Koenigsegg?" He nodded, "You are right, Minari, don't worry this car won't waste our money. It's a hybrid car." He waved, explaining it as i rolled my eyes not buying his arguments. "Hybrid or not, the car still has an expensive price, Ren." i teased with my stern tone, "Come on, this car can run on electricity instead of gas. Think of how we can save so many of your kinds on the north and south pole, Minari." He whined, scrunching his face. I chuckled at his cute whining attempt, hitting him on his shoulder. Man, how can he be so cute and hot at the same time.
