Dubu's Wedding

Mina's POV

"Annyeong haseyo, Mina-ssi." One of our new worker came in to take her shift. I nodded replying her greet with a smile on my face. Park Jikyung, she works here at our cafe. She's a college student and she applied for the job just recently. At first she didn't know that she'll be working on a cafe that Ren and i opened, and after she noticed it. She was stoked and i still remember how she reacted when she first noticed it. Jikyung applied as a cashier and i can see that she's been giving her all for her part time job to earn a little more cash for her expenses. I was paying attention to our ingredients stock while noting some ingredients that needed restocking, as i hummed to Jikyung addressing me. "Mina-ssi, joesonghamnida." I moved my attention to her and hummed asking what's she going to ask.

"Nde? What is it?" Her face looked very shy when my attention was finally caught onto her. "I didn't know that I'd be working for someone i looked up to." After a moment of silence she finally said something but her voice was lowered and her face looking down. I giggled softly to her reaction and "actually i was always on pressure when you showed up in the cafe because i always wanted to show my best effort to you." I saw her nibbling with her thumbs down there as she kept looking down hiding her face. "You don't have to feel like that, Jikyung." And seems like my words just gave her a little courage for her to lift her head up. "But Mina-ssi. You are the Twice. I can't mess up in front of one of the members of the Nation's girl group." I chuckled to her words and "ne, mo. I was, but today I'm just a housewife, supporting my husband's career as an actor. You don't have to feel pressured like that, Jikyung."

Then, i heard the door bell rang and saw another one of our workers came in, greeting me as she went inside to fill her shift. "Annyeong, Minyoung-ssi." I greeted her back and she immediately went to her counter to start working with the coffee grinder. We also hired a barista, a certified one, so our coffee brew qualities aren't degrading because of Ren's absence. "Mina-ssi, i think we need more coffee beans for next week." She reminded me as i noted what she said on my phone. "Ne, Minyoung-ssi."

"Jikyung-ah, how's your college?" Minyoung asked about Jikyung's college. "Mmm... not much unnie. Just a lot of assignments and tests for these past weeks." Minyoung hummed while she collected all the coffee powder from the grinder.

As i am finishing my last batch of today's baking, i heard Jikyung called for me from the door. I set down the cakes and pulled my heat safety gloves from my hands, walking towards her and asked what is it. "Mina-ssi, i think you have a visitor." Jikyung motioned her hand pointing at the guest and i was surprised that it was Sana and Tzuyu coming to visit the cafe. I ran a little around the counter and hugged them. "How are you guys?" I asked, Tzuyu and Sana giggled before replying my question. "I see that you're busy with this, unnie." Tzuyu looked around upon saying it. "Ne, Tzuyu. We've always wanted to open a cake shop like this back when we were in Japan." I said and they nodded together understandingly. "Looks like the cafe is doing really well too. There are a lot of customers here." Tzuyu said, "Minari, are you coming to Dahyun's wedding party this evening?" Sana added.

"Geureomyo, why would i ignore our member's wedding parties. I'm also waiting for an invitation from you two." I waggled my eyebrow while grinning a tease at both of them. They turned their heads down shyly and i laughed softly to their reactions. "Uhh.. unnie how's Shion." Tzuyu asked and i hummed. "You won't believe me when i tell you this." I giggled and this seems attracted more of their attention. "Shion's skipping grades. She skipped 2 grades." I giggled and they both arched their eyebrows in surprise. "Wah... jinjja?" Sana asked with her voice slightly pitched. "Ne, Sana. She's in fourth grade now and i don't know why, she still keeps getting perfect scores on her reports." We laughed and then Tzuyu asked if she can buy some cakes. "Of course, Tzuyu. What cakes do you want?" I stood up as she did so too. "I don't know, can i have a look at the display first?" I nodded and we walked towards the cooling display with the cakes I've made then Tzuyu lowered her back to look closely at each one of the cake. "This one looks delicious." Tzuyu pointed at the red velvet cake and asked Jikyung to put it out for her. "I heard from the internet that your cakes have became a favorite all over Korea." Sana pointed out with her finger on her lips. "Mwo-ya Jinjja?" Sana nodded and i saw Tzuyu grabbing the plate with her cake on it, and we walked back to the nearest table then sat down.
