Chapter four

I walked in and turned my assignment in before taking my seat, I looked around to see another pregnant girl looking at me. I smiled and walked over towards her sitting down "hey" I say realizing I needed friends and that she would be perfect because she would understand. She smiled at me and said "hey, how far long are you?" I set my book bag down and said "five months, i'll be six months in two weeks" I explain with a big smile on my face. She nodded her head and said "I'm six months" I smiled as we started talking, turns out she's having a boy as well. "So what do you want to name him?" she asks me, I shrug and said "I haven't decided yet" she nodded and said "I'm thinking about william" our conversation was cut short as the professor walked in. we exchanged numbers before writing down the notes on the board. Me and Cheyenne got along well.
After class we decided to meet up for lunch after our next classes, I was super excited to have a friend that would understand. I sat in my next class watching the clock, eager to go meet up with my new friend. I was glad I didn't have any homework, but that would mean I'll have a lot tomorrow.

After class I walked to the cafeteria where my pregnant friend stood in line waiting for me, or for her food. I walked up behind her and she turned smiling at me "so what plans do you have after this?" I shrugged and said "after class I have two hours before I have to head to work" she nodded her head "we should go for a walk or something. Or tomorrow we should get coffee before class" I smiled and said "Coffee before class sounds good" finally it was our turn, I got my usual chicken salad as she got a burrito. We sat at a table and proceeded to eat "how cool would it be to have our kids be friends?" I smiled and said "that would be cool, I have to say I was a little desperate for a friend. It's just been me and this little guy for months now" she nodded her head and said "I totally get it, I was so glad you sat next to me. It's just been me and Cody for the longest time, between me and you he gets a little annoying after a while" we both laughed as Lucus and his friend Cody started walking over. That's when it clicked that Cody was her Cody, he lowered his head down to kiss her as Lucas sat down next to me "what a small world" I say taking a bite of my salad.
"I knew you guy would be good friends" Cody says laughing "yeah, we met during our first class." we nodded our heads as I laughed "It's not easy being pregnant and doing college" she says looking at me, I nodded my head and said "it's not easy being pregnant" I say drinking some water. "Especially since your single" Cody says looking at Cheyenne Her face dropped looking at me "wait your single?" I nodded my head "yeah, I had a boyfriend but he moved to go to college and I just haven't told him. I didn't want to ruin his whole college thing" I say sipping more water. Lucas looked at me and said "seriously?" I nodded my head and said "he has a girlfriend up in Europe , plus the long distance wouldn't work. It would just be really stressful" they all nodded their heads agreeing with me "well if you need anything you let me know" she says taking a bite of her burrito. I nodded my head and said "I will thank you."

I felt the little guy start to kick my stomach making me smile up and say "he's kicking" Cheyenne jumped up "oh I want to feel"
"Babe careful" Cody says getting a glare from Cheyenne making me laugh as she ran over to put her hand on my stomach. I guided her hand to the right side of my stomach where he was kicking and held it there as she smiled at me "oh my lord, he's gonna be a soccer player" she joked smiling at me. Lucas looked at me smirking so I decided to make him uncomfortable and asked "do you want to feel?" I said with a smile, he shrugged and to my disbelief hopped out of his chair walking towards me. He put his hand on my stomach where Cheyennes hand was and held it there "wow, he's strong already" he says winking at me.
Affection never usually worked on me... not usually. I'll just blame it on my pregnancy hormones though.
After a little while we all finished our lunch and I went to my last class, I was handed a big packet as I went to sit down. Lucas and Cody walked in and waved at me as they started walking towards me, I waved back as they were sitting down. Lucas sat next to me, I was glad to have someone to talk to in this class since it was kind of boring.

A few hours went by of the boys making fun of the teacher everytime he stuttered, I'd smack their hands and glare at them making them laugh. Finally the class was over and I stood up "do you want to work on the assignment together?" Cody asked looking at Lucas who rolled his eyes. I shrugged "I honestly want to go home" I say looking at the ground feeling slightly guilty, he smiled and said "we can go to your house?" I looked up at them and said "sure, I can order pizza or something" I say looking back and forth at Lucas and Cody. I pulled my phone out and asked "what's your numbers? I can text you my address" they both told me their phone numbers resulting in me texting them my address. I drove home afterwards ordering the pizzas and started cleaning up a little, I started with the dishes putting them all in my dishwasher before going to the living room and picking up the blankets that the kids left out, I threw the kids toys in the toy box before heading to my room and throwing all my dirty clothes in the washer and then grabbing the dishes by my bed throwing them in the dishwasher before starting it.

Ten minutes went by and they knocked on my door, I took a deep breath and opened my door to Cheyenne, Cody, and Lucas who all smiled at me. "So I just moved so I don't have a couch yet" I say awkwardly "I get paid tomorrow so that's when I'll go get them" I say sitting at the counter. Everyone sat at the counter with me as we started doing our homework. I hopped off and went into the kitchen pulling out a veggie tray and setting it on the counter and said "help yourselves" as I pulled out some water bottles setting them on the counter "are you like some type of health freak?" Cody asked making Cheyenne smack him. I shook my head smiling and pulled out some chips and said "no, Veggies are just good on the fetus that I'm carrying. I bought pizza, it should be here soon"
Lucas just laughed still doing his homework while we ate the pizza that had finally showed up, thirty minutes went by and my mom came barging in through my door with my younger siblings making her stop and look at me. "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't know you had anyone over" I smiled and said "It's fine, what's up?" I asked looking at Toby who went straight to my stomach "hi little guy" he says kissing my stomach and walking towards the chips on the counter. Katelynn came running over and hugged me, I lifted her up so I could hug her back and then she chased after Toby to get some chips.

"Me and your father are going out of town for three days, and I was just wondering if they could stay for those three days?" I nodded my head and said "sure, do they have their stuff?" She nodded and went out to get their backpacks from the car. I was glad that there was no school tomorrow, Toby came running over with the giant bag of chips making me grab it from his hands. "Hey what's the deal?" I say as I walked over to grab two bowls, I poured a little in both handing the bowls to the kids and looking up at my friends who were smiling at me "sorry guys, I watch my little siblings a lot" I say as I looked at my mother who came towards me and grabbed my belly "is he kicking?" I laughed and guided her hands to his favorite kicking spot on the left. Her face lit up feeling her grandchild kick, she kissed my cheek before leaving.
