Chapter six

After dinner we all sat down on the couch with the kids using me as a pillow, we were all watching Bones. An hour went by and the kids were sleeping, I moved both their heads before getting up and grabbing blankets for both of them. I was happy to finally go to sleep as I laid my head down on my soft pillow and drifted off to sleep, I woke up thirty minutes later with the little guy flipping around in my stomach. I hopped up and went to the bathroom before I walked up and down the hallway trying to rock the small child to sleep in my stomach, after ten minutes he stopped kicking and I was able to get comfortable enough to go to sleep.

I woke up the next day with Katelynn poking me in the face, I slowly got up as I looked at her "good morning" I say hopping out of bed. She smiled and said "good morning" before walking out of the room, I groaned walking into the bathroom to pee.
I walked down the hallway to the beautiful children watching cartoons, I sat down on the couch playing on my phone for a few hours. Noon finally came around and I decided it was time to go baby shopping, the second bedroom had been empty for a few months now. I hopped up off the couch and went to take a shower, two minutes went by and I heard the bathroom door open. I stuck my head out the curtain and saw Katelynn taking her clothes off before hopping in the shower with me. I washed my hair out before washing her hair, I hopped out wrapping a towel around my pregnant belly before holding a towel out for her. I wrapped it around her body before walking into the living room where Toby was and said "Tobes, go take a shower please" he hopped up and ran into the bathroom to shower while me and Katelynn went to get dressed. I got dressed in a hot pink maternity shirt before putting black maternity pants on, Katelynn got dressed in a light pink shirt with white pants. I wrapped the towel around my head to hold my wet hair up out of my face while I slipped in and out of the bathroom grabbing my hair stuff, I looked at Katelynn and said "let me do your hair" I plead. She loved when I did her hair so I knew I wouldn't have to beg.

I put her hair in a fishtail braid before brushing mine down and braiding it to the right side of my head, Toby ran to my room to get dressed so I took the opportunity to do my makeup. Putting black eyeliner on the bottom of my eyelid before putting brown eyeshadow on and black mascara. I slipped some white socks on before putting my black shoes and grabbing my keys "let's go guys" I say excited to go shopping for my son.
The kids ran into the car and got buckled while I put my car in reverse to back out of my driveway, that was until my phone started ringing. I looked on my phone and saw cheyenne's name on the caller id I quickly answered as I started backing out "hey what's up?" I say finally getting on the road and driving "what are you doing today?" she asks I shrugged and said "I'm going baby shopping" I say with a smile.
"Oh, do you mind if I tag along?" I shook my head like she could see me and said "do you want me to pick you up or do you want to meet me at walmart?" I heard her moving around probably getting ready as she spoke to me "I'll meet you there, I'll bring Cody and Lucas. I still need a crib" I laughed and said "me too"

I had both kids hold onto the cart as we waited for the guys to show up "Jade!" she shouted from behind me, I turn to see Lucas and Cody wearing all black. I laughed and said "aw you guys are matching" they both laughed as we proceeded to walk to the cribs. I saw a black wooden crib that would match with his light blue walls and his grey carpet, I smiled looking at it making Lucas walk over and say "is this the one?" I nodded my head and said "it matches the room perfectly, and it's black" I say laughing. Black was my second favorite color besides purple. He lifted the heavy box into my cart, I walked up to Cheyenne who was looking at a dark brown wooden crib as she smiled "I want this one" Cody nodded his head and lifted it into her cart. "Let's go look at the baby bouncers" she says practically running to the other side of the aisle where the baby bouncers were, I smiled looking at a dark blue bouncer and lifted it up putting it in the cart next to the crib. Lucas and Cody walked behind us as we went to the bassinets, I looked at a white bassinet and looked at Lucas and said "would you mind lifting this box into the cart?" he smiled nodding his head as he lifted it into the cart. "Hey Jade, I found the breast pumps" I laughed trying to move the cart until I realized it was to heavy Lucas laughed as he walked up behind me and began pushing the cart towards Cheyenne. Katelynn and Toby seemed so bored as they walked beside the cart, soon we would be home and they would be watching tv or playing some game outside. I grabbed a black bag that had a small breast pump, I put it in the cart before walking down a different baby aisle grabbing a box that had two baby bottles in it. I shoved it in the cart as Toby and Katelynn walked up to me and said "we're bored" I nodded my head and said "I know, I'm sorry loves. We'll be home shortly and you can play." they both leaned their heads on my stomach making the baby kick their heads, they both jumped back laughing "he kicked me" I laughed and said "he was saying hello" Katelynn put her mouth on my stomach and said "hello baby" while laughing, the baby began kicking again.

I grabbed a three pack of swaddle blankets before we headed out, everything came up to $2,300. We walked out and Lucas and Cody helped us pack everything into our cars, Lucas put the big boxes in the back of his truck. Cody and Cheyenne had there own truck, I waved them goodbye as we went our separate ways going home.
Lucas helped me put everything in the baby room and asked "do you need help building them?" I shook my head and said "no, I'll have my dad do it when he gets back," I said with a smile. He nodded his head and said "alright, I'll see you monday?" I nodded my head and said "see you then" he left waving goodbye to the kids.
