Michael, Rose and I, carrying April, rush into the doctor's office.
April whimpers as she spits in her little bin. I glance at Michael as he cringes.
He must hate seeing April this way.. Obviously he does. I hate it too.
"We need to see Doctor Johnson please." I beg the lady at her desk.
The woman frowns, "Doctor Johnson isn't here anymore. I'm sure you'll need Doctor Murray though." She smirks, picking the phone up as she dials some numbers.
I furrow my eyebrows. What does she mean Doctor Johnson isn't here anymore? Where the hell did he go? He's our family doctor.. Most importantly my doctor. I don't trust Doctor Murray one bit!
"Doctor Murray is very available at this moment. Go ahead and go through those doors, take a left, it's the third door on your right." She explains, pointing to a big doubled door.
I sigh. "Thank you." I mumble, stomping through the doors.
I hear Michael sigh behind me, "Wait up, babe!" He loudly says, following me down the hallway.
I frown, approaching Doctor Murray's door. "I don't trust this man, Michael. He's very odd." I scowl.
Michael frowns. I feel a light touch on my back. "Do this for April, Mia." He softly says in my ear.
I look down at my arms, staring at April as she sleepily leans over her bloody bin.
"Fine." I whisper.
Michael smirks, opening the door.
Doctor Murray spins around in his chair, hoping up.
He grins as he approaches us. "Ah, the Jackson's! So grand to see you all again. Oh! Who is this pretty young girl?" He coos, squatting down in front of Rose.
Rose blushes, "I'm Rose." She squeaks.
I roll my eyes. April needs help, sir! I bite my lip, feeling my blood boil a little.
Doctor Murray grins, "I hear you like stickers, huh? I've got a whole bowl of them you can pick out from, sweetheart. We've got princ-"
I clear my throat. "Doctor, I don't mean to be rude but I have a very ill child in my hands." I sternly say.
Doctor Murray stares blankly at Rose. "Right.." He softly says, standing straight up.
He forces a smile. "What can I do for you all today?" He says, clapping his hands together.
Michael frowns, "April has a fever, she's been throwing up blood for about an hour now. We are desperate for help, Doctor. We don't know what is going on." He furrows his eyebrows.
Doctor Murray frowns, "How old is April?" He says, gently taking her from my hands.
"She's a year, doctor." Michael says.
I cross my arms.
April lays her head on Murray's shoulder, closing her eyes.
"Her breathing is very slow.." He softly says.
"I'll get a nurse. We're going to run some tests, okay?" He looks at me.
I stare at him, "Do whatever you need to do. Please." I sternly say.
Doctor Murray frowns, leaning towards me. "She's the HIV positive baby, yes?" He whispers in my ear.
I glare at him. What a title..
