I smiled widely as Janet helped me clean the dishes.
"Janet, you didn't really have to-"
Janet chuckled, "No, Mia. It's alright. I'm more than happy to help you." She said with sincere as she gently touched my arm.
I blushed. "Thank you." I said.
Janet smiled, drying the plate, "Anytime, Mia."
I heard the front door open, loud footsteps stomped through the home.
I sighed. Kevin's home..
Kevin stopped in front of the kitchen as he glared at Janet and I washing dishes.
I forced a smile, "Welcome home, baby. Janet and I made dinner, it's on the table when you're ready." I sweetly said.
Kevin glared at me in anger, "Can I speak with you in the bedroom?" He grunted.
I sighed, "Sure thing." I said, putting my plate down.
"I'll be right back, Janet." I softly said, walking out of the kitchen.
Once Kevin and I were out of Janet's sight he grabbed into my wrist harshly.
I gasped in pain. "Kevin!" I softly cried.
Kevin harshly threw my arm down as he slammed the bedroom door shut.
"What the hell is Janet still doing here? Doing all your damn dirty work!" Kevin raised his voice.
Kevin leaned closer to me. "I leave for work and work hard, I fucking expect the same with you." He growled.
I felt myself start to shake, "K-Kevin, I'm about to have a baby within a week. I-I can't keep doin-"
Kevin slapped me across the face.
"DON'T FUCKING TALK BACK TO ME, GIRL!" He shouted.
I began crying as I laid on the bed.
The bedroom door busted open.
I looked, seeing an anger Janet Jackson stand there.
"What the hell do you think you're doing?" She growled, walking closer to Kevin.
"This is a private conversation." Kevin said, gritting his teeth.
Janet scoffed, "Hitting a pregnant woman and shouting at her isn't so private. I don't want you to touch her!" She raised her voice.
"This is none of your damn business." Kevin spat.
"That's how all of y'all boys are! Nasty! But I'm sick of men like you!" Janet shouted, sticking her finger harshly against Kevin's chest.
"If I dare see another damn mark on her, you're going to jail." She threatened.
"Janet, please!" I cried.
Janet's head snapped my way, "How, Mia?!" She cried.
"Michael was right and I am right. You all need to-"
"Janet." I stopped her.
"Enough." I softly said, rubbing my stomach as stressed built up in me.
Janet sighed loudly, putting her hands on her hips.
"I've heard this happen to you for the last week, Mia. You're about to have a baby.." Janet softly said.
"It's time to make a choice." She cooed, looking at me with sincere.
I sighed loudly, standing up.
"You guys need t-" Janet was interrupted from the loud knocking against the front door.
