Kevin and I laid in our bed, cuddling.
"I'll let you choose tonight, round two?" He asked.
I smirked, "No, Kevin. Not tonight."
Kevin pouted, "How come?"
I chuckled, "Kevin, I just got out of the hospital. I've got some bruises and I don't really feel like getting anymore at the moment." I blushed.
Kevin chuckled, "I wouldn't do that to ya... There." He awkwardly said.
I giggled, "Mhm.."
Kevin smirked, kissing my cheek.
"Goodnight then, baby." He said, pulling away from me.
I smiled, laying flat on my side. "Night." I said, turning the lamp off.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It's probably about two in the morning now. I'm still having trouble sleeping.
It's been a problem lately.
How can I sleep? I'm lying next to my boyfriend that beat me nearly to death.
I have to escape. I can't stay here with this man any longer.
Michael was right.
I opened my eyes wide opened, looking straight into the darkness.
I took a deep breath, It's time to leave, Mia. Go. Now.
I slowly got out of bed, trying not to make a sudden move.
I tip-toed to the dresser.
I quickly opened the dresser and my suitcase, filling it with clothes.
I can't take everything, but I'm taking what I need.
I grabbed my sandals, putting them on.
The lamp suddenly went on.
I gasped.
"What are you doing?" Kevin hoarsely asked.
My eyes widened, "I-I um.." I gulped, not knowing what to say.
Kevin looked down at my suitcase.
"Baby.." He sadly whispered, getting out of bed.
I bit my lip.
Kevin walked up to me, "What are you trying to do?" He softly said, his voice cracking.
"I-I-"
Kevin looked into my eyes. His icy-blue eyes suddenly became glassy.
"Are you leaving me?" He whispered.
I didn't say a thing.
Kevin fell to his knees, covering his face.
"Baby, please!" He begged, cupping his hands together.
"Don't leave, Mia!" He cried.
I felt my heart crack a little. I've never seen Kevin so broken..
"I love you, Mia. I-I've been a horrible man to you!" He sobbed, standing up.
Kevin gently held onto my hands. "I do all the things I do because I love you." He softly said.
I felt a tear escape from my left eye.
"Don't leave me, baby.." He sobbed.
"Kevin, I've had it." I softly said, my voice wobbling.
