Chapter Ninety-Eight

"They crowned me a King here. There was a ceremony and everything. I love it here!" Michael proudly says.

I chuckle, "Really? Now it's official! You are certainly a king." I grin.

Michael chuckles, "That makes you my Queen, Mia." He says.

I blush. "What an honor.." I giggle.

Michael's laughter shortly dies down.

"I miss you a lot, Mia.." Michael frowns.

"Babe, I know you miss me." I chuckle.

"You don't need to call me every hour just to tell me that. It'll make me miss you more." I smirk.

"I just love hearing your voice, Mia. I needed to hear it. I hate being away from you.." Michael sadly says over the phone.

I sigh, "I know, Michael. It's just going to be for a few days! You have Rose! Just take her out and show her around, hon! I'm sure Rose is loving it over there with her daddy!" I smile.

Michael weakly chuckles, "Yeah.." He mumbles.

"She's been dragging me all over the place. I don't mind it, it's jus-"

"You miss me?" I chuckle, interrupting him.

"Michael, don't let me ruin this for you. You have to sell your glove tonight for charity. Think about the people you're about to help!" I grin.

Michael sighs, "I know. It's a real good feeling." He admits.

I grin, "See? You don't need me to feel good, babe." I say.

Michael sighs again.

"How is April doing? I miss her too.." He softly says.

I frown, looking over my bed. 

April didn't want to sleep by herself last night. She misses Rose climbing into her bed with her in the middle of the night. I can't blame her. I miss Michael in the middle of the night too. 

"She's doing much better." I say, moving my hand through her hair.

"We've been watching Disney movies all day. She's asleep now so I was gonna nap with her." I yawn.

"Oh, don't go.. I want to talk to you as much as I can." Michael pouts.

I smirk, "Michael, I have to sleep sometime. It's been very hard to sleep without you by my side. So when I'm tired, I feel very fortunate." I admit.

Michael sighs, "I miss sleeping next to you.." He mumbles.

I couldn't help but chuckle.

"What?" Michael asks.

I shrug, "You sound so miserable! Most husbands would give anything for a break from their wives!" I giggle.

Michael softly chuckles, "Yeah, well.. I love you. So.." He awkwardly says.

I blush. "I love you too, Michael." I shyly say, feeling my face heat up.

Michael giggles, "I-"

"Daddy, daddy! Come on! Let's go outside! Look at all the people! Come on, daddy!" I hear Rose yelling over the phone.

"Oh gosh.." I squeak, feeling my heart ache a little.

I miss my baby.. 

Michael sighs, "Alright, Rose." He says.

"Mia, I've got to go. Rose wants to go outside for a walk or somethin'.." He softly says.

I grin, "Oh, no! That's okay!" I sniffle.
