24: shut up hoe

Cherry's POV
As soon as we sat down in Mr Turners class, people started whispering. I slumped in my seat. Shawn started to get up, but I grabbed his hand. "Don't, not right now." I whispered. He nodded and sat back down. "Li, Hunter, stay after class when the bell rings." Mr Turner said. We just nodded. We were an hour late and a half late, so we only had about 2 and half left in class. When the bell rang, everyone left and Shawn and I just stayed slumped down in our seats. Mr Turner sat on a desk in front of us. "Alright, tell me, are y'all buyin lunch today?" He asked. "I didn't bring money, and we were in kind of a rush this morning." I explained. "I didn't bring money either." Shawn said. "Tell me what happened, why were you guys and hour and a half late to my class?" He asked. "John-" Shawn started. "Quiet Hunter, I wanna hear this from Li first." He said. "Look, Mr Turner, last night, we were helping a few friends-" "let me guess, Matthews and Lawrence?" "Yeah them, well after that, Shawn took me out to Chubbies on a date and then we went back to his apartment, and-"

Shawn's POV
"And, we were just kissing when Topanga came in and talked to Cherry. After Topanga left, we were kissing again and then we had a talk about where we stand, and then we fell asleep. We woke up late because my alarm didn't go off, but as soon as we realized we were late, we rushed over here as fast as we could." I finished for her, she sounded like she was about to bust out yelling or crying. "Can I please call my dad Mr Turner, let him know I'm ok?" Cherry asked. "Yeah, go ahead, but come right back, you two are gonna be in here all of lunch." Mr Turner said. "Yes sir." Cherry said and went outside to call her dad. "Oh wait, do one of you guys have a quarter?" She asked. "Yeah." Mr Turner tossed one to her. She smiled and ran off. "Look, John, I'm really sorry, you have to believe me, I wasn't trying to make us late." I said. "I believe you Shawn, but, what I wanna know now, is what's going on with you two? I've seen you flirt with eachother for a year, and now she's comin to school in your shirt with hickeys!" He sounded surprised. "Well, she's my girlfriend as of yesterday." I said. "Good for you Hunter, but don't, don't do something bad  to her." He said. "I'd never dream of it sir."

Cherry's POV
Right after I explained to my dad why I never came home and why I didn't call first thing this morning, I hung up the pay phone and turned around to find a girl standing right behind me. "Oh sorry, were you waiting for the phone?" I asked. "How does it feel?" She asked. "How does WHAT feel?" I responded. "Being Shawn's  latest prey and slut?" She asked. I was heated. "Excuse me? Who do you think you are?" I asked. "I'm Dana, it's nice to meet you, I'm Shawns ex." She smiled. I shot a sarcastic one at her. "Okay, Dana, 1) I'm nobody's prey 2) I'm sure as hell not anyone's slut." I said. "Uh huh, says the girl wearing Shawn's shirt to school, having a couple hickeys on her neck, AND being and HOUR AND HALF late? Sounds pretty sus to me." She shrugged. "Look, I don't care who you are, but you have no right to judge my relationship with Shawn, cause you don't even know the whole story, so why don't you just shut up hoe." I snapped at her and tried to walk away. "When he breaks your heart, I'm here." She said and I rolled my eyes. I went and sat in my seat in Turners class and just thought. "Consider this detention, I have a date after school." Mr Turner said.
