Shawn's POV
The morning of the funeral, Cherry and I woke up, and I drove her to her trailer. She told her dad, grabbed what she needed and we headed back to my apartment. We haven't talked all day so far, not a single word. When the time came around to get ready, she did, and then I did. Jack drove us to the funeral home and we just cried. We all cried a lot. We cried pretty much the whole time. When we got back, Cherry finally said something. "Shawn, I- I am so sorry, and if you need time, to grieve, to- to think, then I will step aside for as long as you need to do that." She said sadly. I didn't want to, but I think I needed it. "Cherry, I'm really sorry, but I think I do need that." I said

Cherry's POV
"Ok." I smiled, kissed his cheek, and left. I went back to my trailer and I talked to my dad about everything. "Daddy, Shawn and I are taking time apart." I said. "Well, what- why?" He asked. "I told Shawn to take some time to grieve and think." I said. "Oh, isn't you guys one year coming up?" He asked. "Yeah, first day of school." I smiled. "Thats great honey." He said. "Yeah.." I said. And that's what I thought too.
