Cherry's POV
It's been a good first year here at John Adams High, I've got 3 best friends, and they are amazing. But I've gotta admit, I may have developed a tiny tiny crush on Shawn. He's just really fun and sweet, he's also cute, and like, I've gotten to know him over the course of the year, I actually do like him, but I don't think I'm gonna act on it, I don't wanna risk a friendship. Unless he was willing to risk it, which he's probably not. We were always super flirty this year, people thought we were dating, but we are just naturally flirty people, and we're best friends. The course of the summer should be fun, just us friends together, hanging out, having fun.

Shawn's POV
wow, I finished my freshmen year, this is great, I got my 3 best friends beside me, after school was out and our summer had officially begun, we decided to head to Cory's house. The girls stayed in the kitchen talking with Mrs Matthews and Cory and I played basketball in his backyard. I had just shot a 3-pointer when Cory asked me a question. "So Shawnie, when are you gonna ask Cherry out?" He knew that I had gotten a crush on her over the year. "Cor, she doesn't like me back, also, I really don't wanna ruin my friendship with her, you know she's my best friend." I sighed. "Shawn, she likes you back. I know she does." He insisted. "No she doesn't Cory, 1) you're gonna stay out of it. 2) prove it, tell me one way you think she does." I tried making it a point that she doesn't.  "Ok, so you remember how Harley Kiner tried flirting with her and told her she was pretty and he liked her shoes?" He reminded me. "Yeah, Cor, I remember that." I said. "Well, what happened?" He asked. "She slapped him and told him to go suck Joey the Rats toes." I laughed, recalling the memory. "Now, when you flirt with her, what does she do?" He asked. "Flirt back, but Cor, we are best friends, just cause we flirt with each other doesn't mean she likes me. She's just a very flirty person, like me." I said, refusing to believe I had a chance with her. "Shawn, ask her out." He said. "Maybe eventually, until then stay out of it. Okay, Cory?" I said. "Ok, I will, I'm going to get ice cream, you want some?" He asked me. "Yeah." I said and he went inside. What if she does like me back?

Cherry's POV
As me and Topanga were talking about our summer plans, Cory came in and whispered something in Topangas ear. She nodded, he got 2 ice cream sandwiches and went back outside with Shawn. We kept talking about summer, and then Topanga asked out of the blue. "So, what's going on with you and Shawn?" "What do you mean?" I asked. Then Ms Matthews butt in. "Yeah, tell us!" She was acting like teenage girl, which was kind of funny. "Guys, there's nothing going on between us. We're best friends, that's all." I laughed. "LIAR!" Topanga exclaimed. "Wha- how am I lying?" I asked. "Cherry, I've only known you since the first day of school, but I know you and Shawn like each other." Ms Matthews said. "I- ok, IF I liked Shawn, that wouldn't matter, he doesn't like me like that, also, I couldn't risk our friendship, we're *best friends*" I said, putting emphasis on best friends. "You do like him!" Topanga got excited. "Well, yeah, have you met him?" I said and started laughing. "Look, Cherry, trust me, he likes you too." Ms Matthews said. "All due respect, you two are crazy. He doesn't like me. Not like that." I said. "Ok, C, do you remember how on the first sleepover we had, we had told you Shawn was a player?" I reminisced at the memory. "How could I forget?" I chuckled. "How many girls has he dated this year?" Topanga asked. "I don't know, 1 or 2?" I guessed. "Yeah, and how long did they last?" She smirked. "About a week each." I said. "Yeah, and final question-" Ms Matthews interrupted her. "What did he tell you every time you asked him why they broke up?" She was smiling. "Something like 'I didn't like her like that' i don't know!" I said. "He didn't like them like that, CAUSE HE LIKES YOU LIKE THAT!" Topanga and Ms Matthews both said at the same time loudly. "Guys, shh!" I started laughing. Shawn looked in through the window and I smiled at him. He smiled back and kept playing basketball with Cory. Wow, what if he did like me back?
