Shawn's POV
"WHAT?!" Cherry shouted as we were eating. "Cherry honey, she didn't wanna say goodbye, she said it would be too painful." Melissa said, uh oh. "You knew?" Cherry said, sadness trailing her voice. "Im sorry." Melissa said and looked at isaac for comfort. "How many of you knew?" She asked. Everyone stayed silent. "HOW MANY OF YOU KNEW?!" She shouted, her voice began to break. "Everyone, except Shawn, Topanga, and you." Isaac said. "Cory!" She said. "I'm sorry Cherry." He said. She walked out, still in her swimsuit, mind you. She walked out and we heard the gate slam. "Cory Matthews, you knew?" Topanga asked him. "I'm gonna let you guys figure this out, but, I'm gonna go check on Cherry, because that's what we all should be doing." I said and walked out.
Cherry's POV
I was outside in the front playing basketball in my swimsuit. I heard footsteps and just ignored them. "Look, I don't wanna talk to anyone right now." I said. Then, the person cane up behind me and hugged my waist. "Shawn, I really don't wanna talk right now." I said. "Then we won't talk, let's just, play a little one on one, huh?" He asked. "Yeah, okay." I smiled a bit. "First one to 15 wins?" He suggested. "Bring it on Hunter." I said. He let me start with the ball and we played basketball, having fun, he actually made me forget for a second. He won the game and I hugged him. Funny this is, I only forgot for a second. "I can't believe it." I said into his shoulder. "What?" He asked softly. "She's gone, and she didn't even say goodbye." I said.
Shawn's POV
I felt a tear fall on my shoulder. "Look at me-" she looked at me. "Cherry, I am so sorry. According to everyone watching us from the fence right now-" she laughed. "She only didn't say goodbye, because it was too painful to say goodbye." I said. "That shouldn't matter, she should've said goodbye." She said. "She should have, but I don't think she was ready to say bye to you. I mean, who would be?" I said. She only laughed and we went back inside and ate.
