25: she called you what?!

Shawns POV
I was in Baker with Cory when he asked me what happened with me and Cherry. "I gave my girlfriend a couple hickeys, we got in trouble for being late." I said. "Oh, alright." He said and we just listened. I kept thinking, Cherry was acting really weird after she got back from calling her dad.

Cherry's POV
I was sitting by Topanga in Mr Feenys class and she just looked at me. "What?" "Are those hickeys?" She asked. "Yeah, what's it to ya? You gonna call me Shawn's slut too?" I rolled my eyes and tried to hold in tears. "Cherry, you know me, I would never, did somebody say something to you?" She asked. "Yeah, Dana, Shawn's ex, told me I was his prey, and his slut." I said. "Have you told Shawn?" "No." I said. "Well, why?" She asked. "Cause, I don't want him to do anything he'll regret." I said. "You should tell him." "I will, he's coming to my house after school today." "Ok."

Shawn's POV
Cherry was driving us to her trailer and she was being really quiet. Way more focused on the road than she normally is. We went inside and her dad was waiting for us. He immediately hugged her. "Are you ok?" Then he saw her neck. "What's on your neck?" He asked. "Im ok daddy, and their just mosquito bites." She said. He looked up at me, "Hey mosquito" I laughed. "What's goin on punkin talk to me?" He said. "I was at Shawn's last night cause it was late, I forgot to call, we didn't hear his alarm go off, we were late to school, I called you as soon as I could." She was leaving something out. "Cherry, what aren't you tellin me?" He asked. "Nothin daddy, I promise." She said. He looked skeptical but he let it go. "Hurt her, and you're 6 feet under Hunter." He said. "Yes sir." I said and shook his hand. Then I followed Cherry to her room.

Cherry's POV
Shawn followed me into my room and we laid there in my bed in silence. "Hey, what happened after you called your dad at school today? You've been acting weird ever since." Shawn asked. "First- What happened with you and Dana?" I asked. He kind of tensed. "Well, She was the first girl that I actually liked, she kind of changed me, I didn't put my 2-week rule in effect, but I did lose feelings for her, she just wasn't my type. If I'm being honest, I think I liked her cause she was different, but after I broke it off with her, I realized what my type was. And you, you are definitely my type." He said. "Are you gonna lose feelings for me?" I asked and kind of sniffled. He sat me up and looked at me. "No, I don't think I could ever lose feelings for you. Now, what happened?" He asked. "After I got off the phone with my dad, I saw a girl standing behind me, she asked me how it felt, and I, being confused, asked her how what felt. She said the words "being Shawn's latest prey and slut." I asked who she thought she was. And she introduced herself as Dana, Shawn's ex. I told her I wasn't anyone's prey or slut, and tried walking away. She said something like "when he breaks your heart, I'll be here." Or something like that" I finally finished.

Shawn's POV
After she finished telling the story, I was fuming. "She called you what?!" I started raising my voice. "She called me your prey, and your slut!" Cherry raised her voice. "Look at me." I said. "You are not my slut, you are not my prey, you are my girlfriend, and best friend. Never listen to Dana again, not only did I lose feelings, I found out not long ago that she cheated on me too. Never listen to her, ok?" I said and held her. "I really like you Shawn, and i don't think you are, but if you're gonna play me, tell me now." She said, crying. I lifted her head up and kissed her. "I swear on everything, I will never play you." I said and we went to sleep.
