Cherry's POV
I woke up and it was a beautiful day. July 4th again, my 17th birthday. I got ready for my day with my dad. I told all my friends I was spending the day with my dad and they understood. My dad had cooked breakfast as normal, but ya kno, a birthday breakfast. We ate quick and we drove to an old abandoned parking lot. We started driving like crazy people and we were laughing a lot. We went and got lunch at Chubbies, and then we went to an edgy kinda shop thing. I got a new skateboard, which I customized. It had white wheels, and roses on the bottom of the board with a black background. It was gorgeous. After that, he drove me to the house, and we watched a bunch of our favorite movies, talked about my friends and Shawn. Eventually, I fell asleep and he carried me to my room. "Happy birthday, I love you." He said, kissed my forehead, and left the room. "Love you too daddy."
Shawn's POV
Cory and Topanga met me at Cherry's trailer the day after her birthday. She was with her dad all of yesterday. We knocked on the door and her dad answered. "Hey guys, Cherry's in her room. She can't hear no one though, she's got her headphones in cause she got a new walkman sent in from her Aunt K and Uncle J." He said. "Sweet. We'll just go in there." I said. Sure enough, there was Cherry, dancing around her room, listening to the tape she had in her walkman. She noticed us and ran over. "Hey guys!" She said, hugging everyone. "We all pitched in and got you one thing." Cory said. They handed me a box, the box around the size of the box they gave me for my skateboard. I opened it and there was In fact a skateboard. It had solid white at the bottom of the board, and bright red wheels. "Aww you guys." I said. Shawn walked over, "you already have one." He sighed. I figured just tell em the truth. "Yeah, my dad got me one yesterday. But love this, it's very sleek and gorgeous." I said admiring the board. On the bottom right corner, I noticed a hand painted cherry. "Oh my god, that's really cute." I said. "Yeah, we're glad ya like it." Cory said. "Thank you guys so much." I said and hugged them all really tight.
