77: adventures in babysitting

Cherry's POV
I sat on the ground in front of the door. Contemplating, what the hell just happened. "Sissy?" Xander sat on my lap. "Hey little brother." I said and rubbed his head. "He's so cute." Shawn said and sat by us. "Aww, cute little family." Topanga said and quickly snapped a picture. "You know, we'd make adorable little babies." I whispered to Shawn. He smiled and kissed my cheek. "What does that mean?" Xander asked. "What?" Shawn asked. "You kissed her cheek. Mommy has no boy to kiss her cheek. So i dunno what it means." He said playing with my scrunchie. "Well, it means that I'm very close with him. We like each other very much." I said.

Shawn's POV
"Eew! boy girl cooties!" He giggled. "Yeah, your sissy has lots of cooties." I whisper yelled at him. Cherry playfully hit me and everyone laughed. "Kissing her cheek wouldn't give me as much of her cooties as this." I said and kissed her lips. "Shawn! my little brother is right there ya weirdo!" Cherry laughed. "eew! sissy, he's giving you cooties now." "Aww, sissy loves Shawn, it's okay." She held him close. "How come I never seen you before sissy. I only seen pictures." He said. "Aww well, mommy just didn't bring you." Cherry smiled weakly. "Hey, how about me and Cory go and teach you how to play basketball?" I interjected. "Okay!" He clapped excitedly. "Come on kid, I'm Cory." Cory held out his hand, Xander grabbed it and they went outside. "Are you okay?" I asked, rubbing the small of Cherry's back. She nodded and smiled softly. "Love you." I said and kissed her cheek. "Love you too." She said and continued smiling softly as I walked away.

Cherry's POV
"Come on C." Topanga said and gestured me to the couch. I sat by her and my head on her shoulder. "Are you really okay?" She asked me and everyone else away down around the living room. "I don't know. I mean, my mom just randomly shows up after 4 1/2 years, and she has my little brother." I said. "Cherry, no matter what, we are here for you." Mr Matthews said. "Thanks guys." I smiled. "I wish we could give more advice, but I think this may be a Feeny issue. " Topanga said.

Shawn's POV
Cherry came outside and went over Feeny's fence. She knocked on his door, and he immediately came out. "Ms Li? How may I help you?" He asked. "See that little boy over there with my boyfriend and best friend?" She asked him. "Yes." He responded. "That's my little brother I just met today. My mom showed up, I told her to go explore Pennsylvania, and that I would watch my brother with Shawn." She explained. "So, how do you feel about your mother all of a sudden coming back?" He asked. "I dunno, it's my mother, but she left me for 4 1/2 years, then shows up outta the blue. I'm kinda mad, and I kinda resent her." She said. "You miss having a mother Ms Li." Mr Feeny said. "Yeah, I guess, but I've done so well without her, and i just don't think I'm ready to let her back in my life yet. Although, I love that little guy." She pointed at Xander.

Cherry's POV
"Hey, Xander! Come see sissy." I said, and he ran over. I picked him up, "Xander, this is sissy's teacher, Mr Feeny." I said. "Nice to meet you young man." Mr Feeny smiled at Xander and Xander laughed all cute like. "Well, do you forgive your mother? Do you WANT her back in your life?" Me Feeny asked. "I dunno, it's just, I've always had this part of me that wanted her to come back. And now she is back, and I don't feel happy." I explained. "Ah, well. I think that you need time to forgive her, which very well could take years. But you also have to forgive yourself." He said.

Shawn's POV
"For what?" She asked. I walked over closer. "For thinking it was your fault, for putting yourself down, for not realizing that it wasn't your fault." Feeny explained. "Makes sense." Cherry smiled. I went up behind her and hugged her. She melted into it. "Thank you Mr Feeny, you've always been a big help." She hugged him. "Oh, there's hugging." Mr Feeny said awkwardly. I laughed. "Okay Xander, say bye bye to Mr Feeny." He laughed "bye bye." And he jumped down and ran to me. "Bye young man." Mr Feeny waved and smiled at him. "He really likes you." Cherry pointed out. "And so do you." I said. She laughed and we went inside.
