35: sweet sweet summer

Cherry's POV
Shawn, Cory, Topanga, and I were all hanging out at my trailer, summer break was gonna be over in about a month and we would be high school juniors. I had been thinking about something, my dad and I were going to Louisiana to hang out with family before I go back to school, and he said that my friends could go, and I was thinking about it. I would have to reintroduce Shawn as my boyfriend, and he'd get a talk, from my Aunt, Uncle, little cousin Marley (bless her little heart), and get the talk in person from Melissa and Isaac. "Do you guys want to go on another trip to Louisiana with me?" I asked. They all smiled. "Yes!" They all said simultaneously. "Ok, that was creepy, but yay! Shawnie, you better be ready to be talked to like, a billion times." I said. "Yeah I know, but I'm ready for it." He said and kissed my cheek. "Yeah, and now that we've been official for almost a year, we get to use the hot tub for more than just relaxing." I whispered in his ear.

Shawn's POV
"Yeah, and now that we've been official for almost a year, we get to use the hot tub for more than just relaxing." Cherry whispered and bit my ear gently. "Cherry Li, you drive me wild." I said and she smiled. "I'm excited, we are gonna have so much fun! We are all 17, and going down to a place where we can be ourselves. You know, I absolutely adore your family Cherry." Topanga said. "Aww Thanks T." She said. "Yeah, they really are the best. Their just really honest about everything, and they don't mince words, and if they don't like something, they're straight up. They're also really fun and laid back, I really enjoy that." Cory said. "Yeah, they are the best." She smiled. "When's the trip?" I asked. "Tomorrow." She said quickly. "Oh, why didn't you ask us sooner?" I asked her, wondering why she would have asked so late. "I don't know, I just remembered my dad said you guys could go, considering the family really enjoys you guys company." She shrugged. "Okay.." Topanga said raising one eyebrow.

Cherry's POV
"Do you want me to drive you guys home, so you can pack?" I asked everyone. "Depends, how long are we staying?" Cory asked. "Well, from Philly to where my aunts house is, is about a 22 hour drive. And we'd stay there for about 3 days, so pack for 5." She said. "I actually have a bag packed for 6 days at Cory's house, is that ok?" Topanga asked. "Yeah, if you guys want, we could stay an extra day?" She offered. "Only if you guys are ok with it?" I said. "Yeah, I'm always looking for excuses to spend more time with them, and this is a great one, and besides, they really do like y'alls company." I said. I drove Cory and Topanga to his house and they stayed there overnight. Then I drove Shawn back to his apartment and dropped him off. Right before I left each house, I told them I'd pick them all up around 8 or 9. Then I went home and told my dad we would have to stay an extra day, and he was more than happy to let us, and then I went to go finish packing. After I did that, I set an alarm and went to sleep.
