Cherry's POV
It was a week after my birthday, Cory, Topanga, Shawn, and I, were all hanging out at my trailer. My dad had gone out to buy some groceries and we were just having so much fun. I played music on my stereo and we were having a dance party. The home phone started ringing. I paused the music and tried to quickly catch my breath. "Hello?" I spoke into the phone. "Hi, is this Cherry Li?" A woman on the other end asked. "This is she." I looked at my friends curiously. "Hi, this is nurse Jenna, at Philadelphia general." She said. "The- the hospital?" I asked, getting scared. My friends faces had concern all over them. "Yes, I am so so sorry to inform you, your father got into a wreck. He's not going to make it, I'm so sorry." "No." I barely breathed out into the phone. "Sweetheart, im genuinely sorry, he's ready for anyone to come say goodbye." She said solemnly and hung up the phone.
Shawn's POV
Cherry answered the phone and she fell to the floor crying right after the person who called hung up. "Cherry!" I rushed over. "Oh my god, what happened?" Topanga asked. She sobbed into her hands and the phone lay on the ground next to her. "Cherry, breathe, tell us what happened." Cory tried to calm her. "My dad!" She cried. She was hysterical, and it was hard for us all not to cry with her. "What?" Topanga asked. "He got in a wre- wreck, we have to go to the hospital and say goo- goodbye." She continued crying. "Okay, lets go." I said and carried her to the car. Cory drove while Topanga cried softly in the front seat. I was in the back, trying to calm my girlfriend.
