"This one?" Edmund said as he stopped outside a door.
Peter nodded. "Yep." He replied.
"Right." Edmund mumbled.
Peter smiled a little. "I'll see you at dinner?" He asked.
Edmund stared at him, tightening his grip around his suitcase handle before nodding at his brother. "Yeah." He mumbled.
Peter nodded and turned to leave, but two seconds later turned back. "You'll be alright?" He asked quickly.
Edmund hesitated. "Course." He breathed.
Peter smiled slightly. "Alright." He said. "See you in a minute."
"Bye." Edmund mumbled, standing there until Peter disappeared around a corner.
Edmund took a deep breath, and reached out to open the door. Stepping inside he saw four other boys, all unpacking and laughing amongst themselves.
Keeping quiet he walked over to one of the beds that didn't have an open suitcase on it and sat down slowly, placing his suitcase on the floor.
He just sat there until the other boys spotted him, one of them walking over. "You new?" He asked.
Edmund stared at him and nodded, keeping his mouth shut.
"Right then." The boy said. "You can unpack now before dinner, all your clothes and whatnot go in the draws there beside your bed, and you can put whatever you want on top."
Edmund nodded again. "Thanks." He mumbled.
The boys nodded back before going back to his, Edmund supposed, friends.
Edmund spent the next fifteen minutes rather slowly unpacking, in which time the other three boys joined, all seven of them seeming to know each other - Edmund guessed they'd all made friends last term (before the Christmas holidays) when he wasn't there.
He waited until the room emptied before heading for dinner, closing the door quietly behind him and heading down the corridor.
He sighed when he spotted absolutely no one, and thought that he was probably slightly late, and that everyone was already in the- Where even did they eat?
Edmund frowned as he headed down corridor after corridor, peering into rooms but with no luck.
After ten whole minutes he sighed in annoyance and stopped walking, turning around when he heard footsteps.
He stared as a group of boys walked around a corner, laughing amongst themselves. They were probably a year younger that Peter, and in Edmund's eyes looked as though they were up to no good.
He went to continue walking but stopped when her heard a voice. "Well look what we have here."
Edmund sighed slightly and turned to face the group of maybe six boys.
"Why aren't you at dinner?" One asked.
Edmund stared at them all, not saying anything, which didn't seem to go down well with one boy in particular.
"I asked you a question." He said, taking a step towards Edmund.
Edmund took a deep breath. "I - I got lost." He mumbled.
"He's new." One boy said with a smirk.
Edmund stared at them all. "I - I should get going." He stammered, turning to leave, only for two of the boys to run in front of him, blocking him from leaving.
Edmund sighed and turned back around, one of the boys (Edmund expected the groups "leader") Now stood directly in front of him.
"You first year then?" He asked, a smirk on his face.
Edmund stared at him and nodded slowly, not speaking.
The boy opened his mouth again but closed it when he heard someone walking up behind him.
Edmund breathed a sigh of relief when he spotted his brother, a small frown on his face when he spotted the group of boys... and then his brother. "Ed?" He asked. "There you are." He glanced from the boys to his brother and back a few times, his eyes narrowing. "What's going on?" He asked slowly.
Edmund hesitated. "Nothing." He said eventually, hurrying over to stand beside his older brother. "I got lost."
Peter glanced down at him before looking back up at the group of boys, who were all staring at the two brothers, before his eyes narrowed again. "I don't want to see you lot anywhere near by brother again." He said firmly before placing a hand on Edmund's shoulder and leading him down the corridor. "What happened?" He asked his younger brother.
"I said I got lost." Edmund mumbled. "I tried to well - get away from them, but they stopped me."
Peter sighed. "I've heard there are a couple of groups like them in this school." He muttered. "Just stay away from them alright?"
Edmund nodded. "Alright." He said.
The two continued walking until they stepped into a huge hall, where literally every boy in the school sat eating dinner. "I'll never be able to remember the way." Edmund muttered.
Peter sighed. "You will eventually." He said reassuringly. "I had the same trouble."
"Atleast you actually found it eventually." Edmund sighed.
"A couple of the boys from my dorm helped me actually." Peter told him as they headed across the hall, weaving their way around tables and people.
"Made friends already have you?" Edmund asked, not at all surprised.
Peter stopped walking and looked down at him. "You could say that." He said with a shrug. "Have you not even talked to anyone in your dorm?"
Edmund shrugged. "They all seem to know each other and didn't really pay me much attention." He said slowly. "One of them only told me where to put all my stuff."
Peter sighed. "Just give it a bit of time Ed." He said. "You'll make friends eventually."
"I have a feeling I'll be making enemies much sooner than I make friends." Edmund muttered.
"If they cause you anymore trouble Ed you come yell me." Peter said firmly. "Understand?"
Edmund stared at him for a little while before nodding his head slowly. "Okay." He replied.
Peter nodded. "Now." He breathed. "Let's go get you some dinner."☆♡☆♡☆♡☆♡☆♡☆♡☆♡☆
