- Another time skip - (lol)

It was the next Christmas holidays, and Edmund was sat in the living room, his homework layed open across his lap.
He was frowning down at the book, unable to understand any of it, and this just made him frustrated, there was once a time when he'd pick all this up easily.
Sighing he thought about going and asking for help, but then he remembered that his Mum, Susan and Lucy had all gone out Christmas shopping, leaving Peter the only one in the house with him.
Edmund ignored the thought of asking him for help until he got so frustrated he actually stood and marched up the stairs.
Entering the room he shared with Peter, he saw Peter sat on his bed, his own books open in front of him.
Peter had been studying alot recently, seeming as he was now 15 and had to start revising for his GCSE's.
He looked up when Edmund entered, a small frown on his face. "You okay?" He asked.
Edmund hesitated, closing the door quietly behind him and griping his book tightly in his hand. "I - I'm stuck." He said slowly.
Peter stared at him. "With what?" He asked.
Edmund held up the maths book, showing it to Peter, a questioning look on his face.
Peter took a deep breath. "Ed." He breathed, looking back down at his own books. "I'm a little busy at the moment."
Edmund's face fell.
"But I could give you a hand after dinner?" Peter suggested quickly.
Edmund considered this for a moment before slowly nodding his head. "Thanks." He mumbled, placing the book on his bedside table before sitting on the edge of his bed, watching Peter as he went back to his own work.

Sometime after dinner, Edmund went to retrieve his maths book, before looking for Peter.
He checked the kitchen and the living room before he heard noises coming from Susan and Lucy's bedroom.
Frowning a little he climbed back up the stairs and peered inside.
He was shocked to find Peter and Susan, sat on Susan's bed, both of them going over a book that Susan held in her hand.
Edmund glanced at the title and saw that it was in fact a maths book, he thought Peter was gonna help him with maths tonight?
Standing there for a while it soon became clear that Susan didn't need anymore help, and he was about to go in and ask Peter if he was ready, when Peter grinned at Susan.
"What do you wanna do now?" He asked. "Seeming as you no longer need my help."
Susan chuckled. "I dunno." She mumbled. "it is getting a bit late."
Peter glanced at the clock on the wall. "Its only eight o'clock." He said with a shrug.
"Lucy will be coming to bed soon." Susan said.
Peter nodded. "You're right." He said. "Alright, anyway, I've got your birthday present to think about."
Susan chuckled and shook her head slightly.
"I'll see you in the morning." Peter said as he stood from the bed.
"Night." Susan replied.
Edmund quickly ran down the corridor to his room, sitting on the bed and opening his maths book, immediately frowning over the page.
He looked up when Peter entered, and watched his eyes go wide. "Right yeah." He muttered. "You wanted help."
He walked over and sat beside Edmund, taking the book from his hand. "What are you struggling with?" He asked.
Edmund pointed at the page. "That." He said. "I can't make head or tales of it."
Peter chuckled. "Algebra isn't exactly the easiest thing in the world." He said.
"Can you help me?" Edmund asked hesitantly.
Peter stared at him. "For half an hour." He said with a nod. "But then I've got things to do before bed."
Edmund nodded. "Thanks." He mumbled.
The two boys sat there for half an hour, and by the end of it Edmund thought he'd kind of gotten the hang of it.
"Alright?" Peter asked.
Edmund nodded. "Yeah." He breathed.
They looked up when the door opened and Lucy walked in.
"Bit late going to bed aren't you?" Peter teased gently as she walked over.
Lucy smiled. "I was helping Mum wrap presents." She said happily.
Peter laughed a little. "Alright." He said. "Night then."
Lucy beamed and wrapped her arms around Peter's neck. "Goodnight." She said, before turning to Edmund.
They both stared at each other for a moment before Edmund looked away. Lucy sighed and headed back to the door. "Night." She called over her shoulder.
Peter gave Edmund a glare before standing from the bed. "I'll come with you Lu." He said. "Read you a story?"
Lucy's face lit up in a smile. "I'd like that." She said.
"Come on then." Peter said, leading Lucy out the room.
Edmund watched them go, flopping down onto his bed for a moment.
After fifteen minutes he sighed and stood, leaving the room and heading for the bathroom.
When he reached Susan and Lucy's room, he couldn't help but peek inside, and was unable to keep back the tiniest of smiles at what he saw.
Susan was sat on her own bed, reading silently, and Lucy and Peter were sat on Lucy's bed, Peter reading Peter pan to Lucy, Lucy snuggled onto Peter's lap.
Edmund sighed a little, he remembered when Peter used to do that with him, and if he was honest, he missed it. He knew he'd grown up since then, but he still couldn't help but miss it.
After a few more seconds, he headed down the corridor to the bathroom, smiling slightly to himself as he did.
