#TEGR Chapter 31: Don't Fight With Anyone
Napatitig siya sandali sa nakangiting mukha nito. Has he gone mad? And why the hell is he smiling at her like that? Valerie should be with him. Not her!
“You’re not drunk.”
“But I am.”
“Adrian, acting like you’re drunk won’t get you anywhere.”
Nagtatampong wika nito.
Alright. Maybe he really was drunk.
He even pouted his lips, for the damn world’s sake! The Adrian she knew, never act like that! Heck!
Just dammit! Ano bang ginagawa nito sa kanya? Mababaliw siya kakausap sa lalakeng ito!
“Okay… “Maybe, I should get Valerie and—“
“You stay, Cindy.” Natigilan siya sa bigla nitong pagsingit.
“Ha?”
“You stay.” But no, that two f—cking word wasn’t normal for him to say!
She stared at him for a while trying to figure out what on earth was this guy thinking and what the hell she would do next.
Her eyes widened. Shock was an understatement. He was hugging her like he missed her. He even buried his face on her neck.
Oh heck! This unbelievable asshole ex was hugging her!
Remember that, Cindy.”
Nalunok na ata niya ang dila niya. No words came out. She just stood here looking so absent-minded, letting him hug her the way he wanted.
And what did he just say?
He missed her?
Oh damn.
“H-Hands off.” Nauutal na sabi niya. “Hands off, Adrian.” She repeated.
If he missed her, he can just say so.
Their constant fight has become their usual set-up. But hugging her is out of the question!
“Now, big guy, stop whatever you’re doing before anyone sees us.”
“Pero wala naman akong ginagawa.” She felt him sniffed her. “By the way, you smell go—“
“Adrian!
She gritted her teeth as she heard him chuckle.
That maniac.
He tapped her head as if he was having a conversation with a kid.
“Now,now, you haven’t changed that much. Her hair bun became a messy one. She glared at him and he just laughed at her.
‘Maybe he just really did miss you.’
Oh shut up brain. She frowned with that simple thought. Whatever his reasons are, still, he can’t hug her. Not when he already has someone else.
“Bumalik ka na nga don.” Utos niya rito. He stared at her for a while. And she didn’t failed to see him bit his lower lip.
“Yeah. You too, Cindy.” Since when did they change?
“Cindy?”
“O’?”
“Don’t fight with anyone else. I’m the toughest enemy, you know.”
“Toughest enemy? I’m afraid you’re not. I’m having the hardest fight with the toughest enemy, Adrian.” Malungkot na napangiti siya.
Right. And probably, the only way to win, is to lose.
