"Can we go already? I say, annoyed. "You're stalling, and I know why, but I already told you I need to go home."

"You don't need to go home. You want to go home. There's a difference," Kristen says while reading something on her phone and then replying.

"Stop treating me like a child and holding me here. Just go with me to get my stuff, please, before—"

"Before he comes back," Kristen finishes looking up, "because you know you'll stay" she smirks

"Damnit, Kristen! He doesn't want me to stay!" I raise my voice. I can feel the tears starting to form in my eyes. "I cannot give him what he wants, so what's the point? I tried. It's not going to work, it's not enough, so I should just let him go now," my voice breaks.
