"I got the popcorn," I said, plopping down on the couch, sliding into the spot beside her.
"Perfect."" She said, giving me a quick kiss. "I think I found a good Rom-Com. Hopefully, one that you haven't watched."
"We'll see," I said.
She started the movie, and I curled up against her.
"You know-" I started to say, but I was interrupted by her laughter.
I glared her down.
"Five minutes." She said, still laughing. "We're only five minutes into the movie, and you've already started talking."
"Well, I'm sorry, but you know me. Talking during movies is what I do, it's how I enjoy them."
"Yes, but can I please watch one movie without you interrupting."
"Fine, I can do that."
She gave me a disbelieving sort of look.
I glopped down a handful of popcorn, saying nothing.
I tried hard not to talk, sometimes I made soft noises, but I was doing well. But as the movie continued, I forgot about the challenge. And soon I was talking once again.
She just turned to me, smiling with satisfaction. I swore quietly, realizing that I had lost.
"Sorry," I said.
"It's okay. I know how I can make you stop talking."
She smiled and went straight to kissing me.
