"You're not mad, are you?" She asked as she did her make up in the mirror.
"No, of course not," I said, sitting on the bed behind her. "It's not like we official or anything. Besides, it's for a good cause, right?"
"Exactly, you know I wouldn't do this otherwise." She smiled, smacking her lips together as she finished her makeup. "How do I look?"
"I don't think any guy could refuse a kiss from you."
She smiled. "Or a girl." She teased.
"Don't think it works like that," I said.
"You're sure your fine with this?" She asked again.
"Yeah," I told her. "It's fine."
I stared at the small lineup for the kissing booth, various girls and guys sat on the other side, being kissed by people who offered money for the charity event.
I watched as some guy paid a few coins before making his way to kiss her.
Alright, maybe I wasn't as okay with this as I thought I was. I waited in the line, pulling a few coins out of my pocket. I offered it to the person at the front of the booth.
"So, I can kiss anyone, right?" I asked the kid.
"I guess." He shrugged.
I had watched as before me every girl that paid kissed one of the boys, and the boys who paid kissed one of the girls. I didn't care though. I walked right up to her.
"What are you doing here?' She asked, smiling but looking confused.
"Kissing you." I smiled.
I leaned in and kissed her, not caring who else saw or what they said.
"Turns out, I'm not okay with you kissing random guys."
"I can't believe you did that." She laughed with a glowing smile.
"I think I'm in love with you. Will you be my girlfriend?"
"Yeah." She nodded excitedly.
She got up and jumped over the booth towards me. "I love you too." She said, kissing me, ignoring all the comments from the world around us.
