It was late, almost no one was in the store. My co-worker and I were talking casually to pass the time. I looked around, and suddenly I spotted her. Excitement rushed through me and so smiled wide. She grinned back and waved at me.

"What are you doing here?" I called out as she walked over.

"Came to entertain you."

I smile.

"Where is everyone?" she asks.

I shrug.

"Do you want anything?"

"Oh, if they have any Danishes left."

"Alright." She disappears for a while returns with some Danishes. She goes through the other cash because she knows I don't like the idea of breaking the rules. She hands me one, and I thanked her. She turned to my co-worker and offers her some. My co-worker takes a price.

"You two friends?" my co-worker asks.

"I'm her girlfriend."

I blush a little.

My co-worker looks between us, clearly excited.

The guy running the customer service counter walks over.

"Danishes!"

"Want one?" my girlfriend offers him one.

He takes one.

"She's her girlfriend." my co-worker tells him.

"What?!"

Suddenly the two workers going on a spew of asking intence questions about our relationship. I feel all giddy talking about her, us.

Finally, it comes time for me to leave, my girl takes me home.

"They seem nice," she says.

"Yeah, they aren't that bad."
