KATE
Once the clock hit seven, Axel got up off the couch and told me that it was time for me to head home. I took his hand, stifling a yawn.
"C'mon, sleepyhead," Axel said, putting his arm around my shoulders and pulling me to his side. I automatically put my arm securely around his waist and closed my eyes, breathing in his comforting scent.
"Did I ever tell you that you smell really good?" I asked him.
Axel chuckled. "No, but I appreciate the compliment."
I gasped, surprised that I hadn't admitted that to him before. "Seriously, what cologne do you wear?"
Axel kissed my forehead. "I don't really know, it's a Hollister one."
I made a mental note to go into Hollister to see if I could find it. "Well, whatever it is, it smells really good."
Axel smiled. "Thanks, babe."
Axel drove me home, and I rested my head against the window, feeling my eyes drift closed.

"Hey, Kate, how was your date with Axel?" My father asked me once I'd blown Axel a kiss goodbye and shut the door.
"It was amazing," I admitted, licking my lips, remembering how Axel's had felt against them.
"It's kinda late, could you text me next time?" My father requested, getting up from the table.
"Yeah, I know, I'm sorry," I apologized, taking off my boots and heading up to my room.
My phone buzzed with a text and I saw that it was from an unknown number.
UNKNOWN # - Hey, how'd u ever learn to sing like that?
UNKNOWN # - It's Aliza btw.
I smiled, quickly adding her to my contacts.
KATE - Oh, hey. Um, idk lol.
That was a lie. I'd gotten my singing abilities from my mother. She'd always had a beautiful voice and some of my favorite childhood memories involved her singing me to sleep. They were always songs she'd made up, but to me, they were good enough to be heard on the radio.
ALIZA - Oh, well congrats on getting into my club! We meet every Tuesday after school, make sure u tell ur boss that when u have ur next shift! We don't meet next Tuesday tho, cuz I have a doctor's appointment, but the week after we do!
KATE - Okay, I'll let her know, thanks.
I shut off my phone, stripping out of my clothes and into my pajamas. My phone buzzed again and I mumbled a curse under my breath. This girl Aliza really couldn't seem to shut up, I thought to myself as I picked up my phone. Then I felt my lips spread apart in a smile when I realized that it was only Axel.
AXEL - When can I see u again? I miss u already.
I blushed, wondering how he was still able to make me blush even when he was only sending me a text.
KATE - Whenever u want, baby. I miss u too.
AXEL - How does Wednesday sound? Ik u have work, but after?
KATE - Idk, aren't u sick of me? Lol.
AXEL - Never ;) I want to kiss u again...
KATE - Yea, that was amazing.
AXEL - Ur lips are so soft.
KATE - I'll say yes to going out with u tmr if we can kiss again ;)
AXEL - Ofc. How could I say no to that?
