"I'm saying we need a new plan, because next time, one of us is gonna be too hurt to heal," Derek announced, as Blair had Derek's leather jacket wrapped around her arms to provide her with her some warmth. She and Scott both followed Derek into the train station to discuss their next move. All of them knowing after tonight they needed to step up their game to take on the Kanima.
"Oh, I get it. We can't save Jackson." Scott realized as he leaned against a pole, Derek and Blair sitting down on the train seats next to him as Blair leaned her head against the pole.
"We can't seem to kill him either. I've seen a lot of things, Scott. I've never seen anything like this. Every new moon's just gonna make him stronger." Derek breathed out as Blair reached over to rub circles on Derek's back in a weak attempt to try and make him feel better. She was aware that it was in vain but it made her feel just a little bit more useful.
"But how do we stop him?" Scott asked as Derek began to shake his head no, not thinking there was a way they could help Jackson. He was beginning to feel deflated after their encounter with Victoria.
"I don't know. I don't even know if we can." Derek realized as he opened up to the two teens about his doubts about catching the Kanima.
"So, what do we do?" Blair asked in a weak voice still trying to find her energy from earlier as she looked between the two boys for an answer. Scott's jacket still wrapped around her shoulders from earlier when he had given it to her in a failed attempt to keep her warm.
"Yeah, maybe we should just let the Argents handle it," Scott suggested as Blair held her head down, she didn't want Jackson to have to suffer a cruel fate. And unfortunately, Blair knew she was going to go down fighting for the lizard boy to live especially if it meant so that the Argents wouldn't win.
"Oh, dear god no. We are not letting those creeps anywhere near him. He's a teenager Scott. They're psychopaths." Blair pointed out, having a blatant distaste for all of the Argents - not caring if Scott's girlfriend was lumped into that pile too. After tonight, her grudge against the family became even more justified than it had been before after they had tried to kill both her and Scott. Scott couldn't blame her for her beliefs either.
"I'm the one who turned him. It's my fault." Derek breathed out, clearly taking the responsibility of Jackson becoming a murder on his shoulders.
"Yeah, but you didn't turn him into this. I mean, this happened because of something in his past, right?" Scott asked as Derek held his head down before snapping it back up at Scott.
"That's a legend in a book. It's not that simple." Blair and Scott both grew confused at what Derek said both of them straightening up after that statement.
"What do you mean? What are you not telling us?" Scott asked as Blair began to wrap her hand around the metal pole as Scott left his hand on her shoulder, letting it stay there while the two finished their conversation with Derek.
