"Blair, it's five am. Do you know what that means? It means it's five hours past midnight and I should be sleeping in my bed." Isaac complained as him and Blair walked out of the McCall house, Blair insisting she wanted to walk to school today instead of getting a ride from Scott or Melissa which Isaac found suspiciously weird but right now he was too focused on the fact that Blair had woke him up at five am.
"I just wanted to hang out with my best friend, is that so bad? I miss your dumbass." Blair asked, wrapping her backpack around her shoulder as they began the long walk to school. Isaac not believing for a second that she woke him just because she missed him. Isaac had lived with Blair too long to know that she valued her sleep just as much as he valued his.
"Yes. We don't do this, Blair, unless one of us is having a crisis or someone is dying. So, why don't you tell your best friend what's wrong so you don't have to ever wake me up again?" Isaac asked, wrapping his arm around Blair's shoulder since he had been listening to her rapid heartbeat ever since they left the house this morning which was the biggest sign someone thing was alarming Blair.
"I stayed with Scott last night and after he thought I was asleep, he kinda mentioned something that freaked me out." Blair began to explain, playing with her hands as she stared at the ground since she didn't exactly know how to phrase this without sounding like an idiot.
"Okay, so what did he say that freaked you out so much that you barged into my room and demanded to walk to school, at five am. I'm really stressing the five am part." Isaac repeated, still dismayed that Blair had wakened up him at five am just for a walk. Blair didn't even think about taking the bus with Isaac because she wanted to avoid Scott right now at all costs.
"He said he thinks he's falling in love with me. Keywords in love." Blair stressed, Isaac, staring at Blair amused as he began laughing slightly at Blair's problem. Blair glaring at Isaac's amusement since she didn't like him teasing her.
"Isaac this is not funny," Blair yelled at Isaac before she ended up laughing with him since she wasn't able to help herself due to his infectious laugh. The two stopped at the traffic lights as Isaac stared down at his best friend.
"You're an absolute mess, Blair. Your boyfriend admits he's falling in love with you and you end up running. It's a little bit funny." Isaac held his hands out to show a large amount rather than the small he had described as Blair smacked his hands down, the two laughing at his antics.
"So, what did you say back?" Isaac asked, referring back to what they were originally talking about rather than accidentally getting off-topic by teasing Blair since he knew that Blair would probably let him talk about something else rather than her own issues.
"I actually was pretending to be sleeping so, uh nothing." Isaac quirked his eyebrows at her answer, an amused grin covering his face while Blair rolled her eyes knowing for a fact that Isaac was going to make fun of her again.
