Everyone in the room was currently pouring ice into the metal tub as Deaton finished reassuring Isaac of what was going to happen once he went under. Blair was holding tightly  onto Isaac's shoulder as he leaned onto the side of the tub.

"How slow does his heart rate need to be?" Scott asked as Isaac trained his eyes onto the ice cubes that sat on top of the ice bath, touching one of the ice cubs before yanking his hand away at the coldness.

"Very slow," Deaton answered, causing Blair to tap the side of her leg out of nerves since she didn't like the sound of what they were going to do to Isaac.

"Okay, well, how slow is very slow?" Derek asked for the group as he himself began to lean down across from Isaac wondering if this entire process was worth risking Isaac for.

"Nearly dead," Deaton answers nonchalantly as if it was no big deal. However, it was a very big deal to Blair as she didn't want Isaac to go into this knowing there was a slight chance he might not come out alive.

"He's going to be safe though, right?" Blair asked Deaton, her entire voice was chipped with worry and it was obvious to everyone in the room that she was rattled with nerves over her best friend.

"Do you want me to answer honestly?" Deaton asked as Blair shook her head, her lips forming a tight line in disapproval of this plan as the group heard a rubber glove snap from the corner of the room, only to see Stiles playing in the corner with a pair of latex gloves.

"What?" Stiles asked as everyone stared at him with the latex glove on, Stiles clearly not understanding it was not the place or time to be playing with medical equipment. The intensity of the situation clearly escaping the boy.

"Buzzcut, take the damm glove off." Blair sighed out in disappointment - only Stiles would pull off his antics in the middle of a tense situation and further Blair's nerves as well.

"Wait. Blair's anchor will that help him when he goes under?" Derek asked as the group turned to both Isaac and Blair, who both looked awkward that Derek had revealed the fact that Blair had become Isaac's anchor. Isaac's cheeks turning red of embarrassment when he felt Scott's eyes on him and sensing the jealous coming from his friend - not wanting to make eye contact when he could feel the tenseness from him.

"Maybe," Deaton answered, not too sure if having Isaac's anchor would help but it wouldn't harm anyone if Blair was beside Isaac to calm him down incase he tried to escape the ice bath.

"Wait, Blair's your anchor?" Stiles asked as he stared in disbelief between Isaac and Blair as the rest of the group chose to ignore his question. The truth was that the only reason Blair was Isaac Lahey's anchor was because she reminded him so much of what his family life used to be like before his brother died. His best friend's behavior felt like home anytime she would tease him or even volunteer to take another round of training so he could catch a break, Blair reminded him so much of his older brother that he began to view Blair herself as the older sister he never had. Without even realizing it, Blair had become to Isaac what Derek had become to her growing up. A person who would always be family, no matter the lack of DNA connecting them. Blair and Isaac were family, whether anyone else saw it or not.
